She is very out there, she does know what she's doing, just look at her acting resume. What i found was the best thing to do when I was having trouble in her class, find one thing to take from her teaching and let that be the goal of the class.

OMG! I love this teacher. She is very hard on you, but she wants you to understand the basics of acting. If you work hard in this class, you will benefit from it. Sheila is an amazing actress.

Sheila knows a lot about theater, but she doesn't always do the best job with imparting that knowledge on the class. She expects far too much for an entry level class. She has an unbelievably large amount of patience.

Heartless. Not helpful. plays favorites. Not willing to work with you on something you don't understand. I am a performance major, and I seriously considered droping out of the program if I had to take another one of her classes. I do not suggest her.

I love Sheila! Yes, she does tend to space out every now and then...she may be a bit of a hippie...but she's a sweetheart and if she knows you care about doing well in the class, she will do all she can to help you. Take her if you get the chance!

What a fun teacher! Sometimes she is hard to understand, but she really wants everyone to learn and that is a rare thing. Not a difficult class, either, esp. for a theatre course.

She is somewhat eccentric, but that makes the class interesting. Sometimes she is a little unclear, but if you ask she will help. Tests aren't bad, and if the class does bad she will give extra credit. Some group work is included.

She has a very soothing voice, but is a bit spacey and a sort of former-hippy type. Her class is not very hard at all. She might be a bit confusing at times but there are only a couple times per semester when you actually have to do anything.
