...of cinema, and Production 1. Although Shayna is a very difficult teacher, she is difficult in the way that benefits the student. She is probably the most thorough teacher at Columbia. She is one of the teachers I learned the most from.

Best film teacher I had at Columbia by far. I learned more about Film from her than anyone else. She is the type of person that inspires you to do the best. Great friendly personality. She give you lots of info to learn but she teaches what you want & should know. Thanks Shayna!

Shayna is a great teacher, probably one of the better ones actually. Your success depedns on the type of student you are and how you write. If she doesnt like your style, be ready to change it or you're screwed as her "helpful' comments can be contradictory and sometimes not very helpful at all.

Shayna is one of the schools' best assets. She taught me a lot about the craft and art of film. Any student who ended up in her class should consider themselves very fortunate.
