Took her Women's Health Issues class as a part of the LC. You do the same thing everyday in class, take notes on lecture slides, which i liked. She is wicked funny. Her class is pretty easy just have to know what to study. There are 3 test 1 paper and 1 presentation. I would definitely take one of her classes again!

You shouldn't expect Sheila to remember your name. She lets you know what her political views are which is irrelevant to her Women's Health Issues class. She tests you on minor, irrelevant details rather than big picture concepts. I would not recommend her class, even though it was not very hard to get a good grade.

I don't understand all the great ratings- I'm here for another perspective. Prof. Barry is a nice person, but an awful teacher. She goes off topic and barely teaches and the has incredibly detailed things on the exams that we barely went over once. The tests and quizzes are RIDICULOUS. I do NOT recommend her as a teacher at all.

I love this lady. Very smart and sweet. Yes, I agree it helps to be a varsity athlete, especially if you wear SkyHawk gear to class. While attendance is mandatory, the football team seemed to get passes often. Take this class if you want to consider going premed. You will learn a lot about blood illness and the human body. Sheila loves Ellsbury!

I think some of these people have the wrong professor. Professor Barry at Stonehill College HATES sports and would NEVER have a nerfball in class. I think some people might be rating the wrong school or professor. I have had her for a few classes and think she is great and the classes were awesome!

I'd recommend taking this class if you're on a VARSITY sports team. All the football players I know did very well. I'm not sure if she favors the athletes because she's a big sportsfan or if they all study hard together. She is a really nice lady, great teacher, and you'll learn a lot. During the exams you might get a boost if you mention the Sox!

I really like her, but she definitely has her favorites. She didn't reference sports in our class, not sure why everyone else has been saying that!

She is such a sweet lady and her prowess with Boston sports is commendable. She does, however, try to incorporate sports references way too much. It can be a little confusing but otherwise her class is a blast. DO NOT wear New York sports apparel in her class! This class is an easy A for anyone on a sports team or who loves the Pats.

I don't know what all of the other reviews are talking about? I took her LC thinking it would be a blast. It was hell. I must say that her class is extremely interesting and very easy if you put the work into. However, she may be the most opinionated professor I think I will ever meet! Her style of teaching is ridiculously offensive!

Favors the varsity athletes in class way too much. Loves the Boston area sports teams and talks about them all the time. Don't wear Yankees or Giants clothes in here class. She still isn't over Super Bowl XLII. I spoke up and said something one day about her favoring the athletes and she FLIPPED OUT on me. Gave me a C - cause im not a pats fan

I had heard before I took this class that this prof is a big sports fan but I had no idea that every lecture about human anatomy would somehow incorporate professional sports. She loves nerf balls and those little cardboard backboards. I think in a past life this lady was a quarterback for the pats or a center for the celtics. She's Great tho.

This class really helped me out because I get a lot from a teacher who uses sports to get her point across. I usually dont pay that much attention to what a professor says until I hear them mention the pats, the pats dynasty, tom brady, bill bellicheck, Gillette Stadium, Bob Kraft, Patriots Place, or something like that. This lady LOVES THE PATS!

Interesting subject but WAY too much emphasis on interactive sports teaching. I mean I like the Pats and Sox too but it doesn't have to be incorporated into every single lecture. She's a very nice lady though and will help you out if you need it. Great teacher, take her class! Bring your Sox hat and T shirts. Theyre sure to give your grade a boost

You can tell she enjoys teaching but her first passion is sports. You can really get her going on a tangent if you mention the pats, celtics, sox, or the bruins game from the previous night. Make sure you know how to shoot some nerf hoops, she tends to favor the ones who can make the hoop swish. Make sure you study the class isn't all about sports!

She's a really nice lady and is very approachable if you're having trouble with the class. I'm a non science major but I studied and did ok. Its fun going to class because this lady really knows her sports and loves spending class time discussing the previous nights games. She keeps the class fun tho with all the basketball nerf games and tourneys!

The class is interesting and if you study for exams you won't have alot of problems. She's a HUGE sports fan and constantly is passing around mini Nerf balls. Instead of calling on you she just passes a ball at you and then you have to answer. Its fun at first but then you start to get sick of it, especially when she shoots hoops during exams.
