She is really great for someone like me who really didn't know anything about photography. The class of course isn't a walk in the park, but it is very low stress and you have a lot of freedom to explore your creative side. If you have to take photo or are just interested in it, I'd recommend her to anyone.

I didnt learn much from sheila.. she likes pretty images and didnt really teach me too much about the art in photography. My advice, take pretty pictures, ask questions, and show up for most of the classes... you'll do fine

realllyyy easy for photo 2.assignments are really broad, u can do pretty much anything.basically, if u do any work, u will pass with a decent grade. turned in pretty much all my work late and skipped a lot of classes. and i got an A-. verify exaclty what she wants if u dont know, sometimes seemed like she wanted more than work then she really did

is frustrating. comments on photos often consist of "eh" for the ones she doesn't like and "like that" for the ones she does which no solid explanation on why she feels that way. often likes heavy-handed-trite psuedo abstract pictures instead of pics that have actual substance and meaning

Photo I. There's a lot of time and $$ required for this class, but I feel I learned a lot, and Ms. Oliveira was more than a fair grader. I think my skills improved tremendously because of her instruction and guidance. Good class--encouraging teacher--

I am not a fan of Sheila's teaching style. I find her assignments too vague and feel there is a lack of class structure. she seems COMPLETELY out of touch with modern photography. You'll do very well if you like taking pics of flowers and unicorns.
