Comment:

Dr. Simons is one of the best online instructors I've ever had. She always had a quick turnaround time and provided excellent feedback on the assignments. Although some were difficult, if you just study the PowerPoints and know how to properly write a research paper, you will be fine. Take her when you can!

I've had Dr. Simons before and have really liked her classes. If there is something you don't understand she will spend the time to help you. Even thought this was an online class I could stop by her office for help.

I have taken two of her classes and she is VERY knowledgable but loves to make her students feel stupid. She will always help you, but odds are she will make fun of you in the process. I have definitely learned a lot from her and will take more of her classes, but I wish she would tone down the sarcasm. She is very funny though!

TAKE HER! She is one of the greatest professors I have ever had. She makes class fun and you actually want to go. She has a very clear grading criteria and is up front about what she wants on assignments and tests. She does take attendance but says class isn't mandatory. Do not use your phone in her class!! TAKE HER WHATEVER YOU DO!

I enjoyed the classes that I have taken with Dr. Simons. Her office door is always open and each time I walk by her office she is there. It's nice to have faculty that you can sit down with and talk too. Her examples in class, worksheets and other activities made me feel prepared for exams. I will really miss having her as a professor.

Love Her! She Always Has Jokes and Makes Class Interesting. There are 3 "Celebration of Learning" Test as She Says. Have to Do Write Ups from the Book and the CDC Website in APA. If you have never done APA writing ask her for examples because she will doc you on your submissions. Offers Extra Credit. I Recommend Her!

over all Dr.Simons really made the class easy. She really pushed the use of APA format in papers, which I am not as familiar with. She made it easy to stay interested in the topic of disaster relief, and at the end of the class we did a mock search and rescue. She also uses a point system to keep you in attendance.

She's cool. Class was not hard. Just do the work and study and make sure you understand the equations which are pretty straight forward. We were allowed to use our notes/worksheets on the midterm and the final. The class is interesting and she can usually answer any question you can ask. She's cool but if you get too off topic she gets snippy.

Dr. Simons is an AMAZING teacher! I would highly recommend her!The class is not easy, you have to pay attention, take notes,& attend class. She's a great teacher, very HELPFUL! Epi was hard for me because her tests are pretty hard but I ended up doing fine in her class. I took advantage of getting help from her, she is so willing to help you on anything just ASK!!
