Class is boring but pretty easy. Midterm is tough. Final is open book. Labs are more interesting than class but still rather boring. Get to know Shelby- he's hilarious.

He is a good teacher over all. I hated the fact that he would assign homework before going over the material and Jeff (assistant) would grade it like if his life depended on the points he took off. Hated the grading system. Watch out for the midterm, make sure you know how to work the formulas on that chapter and some basics on the chain.

Very nice old man that enjoys his job and enjoys teaching. the class is very boring. but the labs are fun. beware of the mid term and the homework as the teaching assistant Jeff grades VERY tough.

Highly recommend the second part of surveying, it has much more hands on that the first(required). Be aware if Jeff is the assistant, as he grades homework, and tries to run the show.

Attendance is checked every class/lab. The teacher is not difficult, but Jeff the HW grader is hard. Mid-term is a little difficult. Final is open book with all the time you require. Comes across as a little ****. I thought it was a fun class though and enjoyed it more than I had expected.
