Shelley is an exceptional Professor! She is tough but fair. She assists you in teaching methods that pushes you to learn to critically think and manage your work by yourself. She has a vast amount of knowledge and it would be a priviledge to be a student under her tuteledge.

Shelley is not helpful, especially for online courses. She expects you to figure things out on your own, what is the point of being a teacher then? She isn't clear on her instructions and then deducts if it isn't done how she expected, when she didn't specify from the beginning. Horrible "Learning" Experience and would NOT recommend her.

Shelley's class is ridiculous. She expects everything to be completed on Blackboard and brushes off students' questions in classes and just refers them to Blackboard (what is the point of even going to class then?). She marks ridiculously hard, is unprepared for lectures, and jumps around from topic to topic. I used to like English... not anymore!

She is very passionate about this course and takes a lot of time into preparing her lectures, which also shows her dedication to the course. You do a lot of essays and reading. You need to put an honest effort in to doing well in the class, it's not an easy class. although, she will help you

I never thought i would be saying this, because at the begining of her class i was terrified of her. However, Shelley is a blessing in disguise. She goes above and beyond the call of duty to help her students succeed. Although she will scare you at first, she actually cares alot about her students, so stick it out, youll be glad you did in the end!

Shelley is awesome! She wrote more helpful comments on one paper than most instructors do in a whole semester. No, she's no pushover, but if you're at school to learn, she's your best bet! You will learn to write in her class, but only if you are willing to put in the effort.

Shelly is a hard marker, but she does do a good job in keeping students engaged. She is witty and hard working. As much as I dislike her at times, she is a good teacher. English is always a hard class, so be prepared to work in this class, you will learn alot! Give her a break.

Very straight forward instructor that had to put up with whiny students who didn't show up to class or read instructions. There were many opportunities to do well and the work load was average. Good value for the tuition $

Shelley is by far the worst instuctor I have ever had. I have worked harder in this class than in any other, and yet I still come out with low grades. Her marking is unfair and the comments that follow are rude and unnecessary. My advice to future students, is get the hell out while you can.

This is a professor who walks, or runs, her talk. Shelley puts a lot of time and effort into the full page comments that accompany the return of essays and exams. Immature, lazy, students will not enjoy this prof. If your looking for easy marks, move on. If you want to apply yourself and come out on top, stick with Shelley.

She told us on the first day of class we would have to work;however she leads by example. If you want to be a good writer, or be challenged she is for you. If you want an easy "A" forget it. She is dynamic, efficient and yeah, a little abrasive, but hey, she's there to teach English, not to win a popularity contest. She's likable enough.

Shelly is dedicated to teaching. I wish I could have her for more classes. I was failing the class and she took it upon herself to bring me upto a c-. Beyond the Excessive Sarcasim, Sometimes Negitive Attitude, Complaining she didnt get paid enough, and wanting to bring champaigne to the final, she is the most knowledgeable professor I have had

I found shelly to be abrasive.im sure she meant well but she constantly picked on the same students in the class. her comments on essays were good, however maybe she marks things too hard.there is a reason WHY half of the class dropped before the end of the semester.have to spend hours on HW nightly
