Perry is an amazing teacher! He really cares about chemistry and works hard at trying to relate to students. He is very clear about his expectations, and is very helpful. Occasionally, he does go off on tangents. He is a fair grader and you'll do fine as long as you pay attention. He wears periodic table t-shirts--what's not to like about that?

Speaks quickly and softly with a strong Boston-area accent. Can be difficult to understand. Excessive sports references can be distracting. Overall helpful and nice and he's the only prof. that teaches this course

He is a wonderful professor! He is very funny and extremely helpful. I would take another class with him any day! He and his wife are the best professors I've ever had. I actually really became interested in chemistry and began to enjoy it. The book was used for homework.

I withdrew from my first basic chemistry class because the professor moved way too fast. This semester I'm taking it with Professor Seagroves and what a difference. Everything is explained very well, if you you the homework and pre-tests there are no surprises on the tests. This actually feels the basic chemistry.

Don't waste your money on buying the book for this class. I didn't open it once. Seagroves was excellent. He emphasized the information he wanted us to know and was very systematic. He also works with all learning styles and answers all questions throughly. I highly recommend him.

Awesome Prof very funny although somewhat eccentric. Concepts are presented very clearly and you know what to expect on the exams. Handwriting is difficult to read and he doesn't use the book at all so save your money. If you work hard you'll probably get an A and you have to try hard if you want to fail.
