Comment:

She explained least squares regression and other topics very well. I understood it and later wrote an internet program for my own use using the stuff she taught me. She will also respond to emails even though I hadn't been a student of hers for many years. As a graduate, I couldn't find work in the field though :(

Interesting class, not the best class for math majors take Probability and Statistics. It is really important to take this class seriously, in class assignments are easy but tests are harder.

She is one of the best teachers I ever had. She is very helpful and knowledgeable. Her classes are demanding, but you will get a lot out of them if you do the work. Her courses helped me get a job after graduation.

very helpful teacher, friendly, and smart. but her class is NOT for slackers. require a lot of preparation for her exam, must be active in class to get an A. thou she is friendly and lenient enough, her handwriting hard to read and explanation is tough to understand

Shelley is my favorite professor at UML. Her courses can be challenging and her tests require a lot of prep (you have to be prepared for the unexpected sometimes) but she is extremely friendly and helpful. A little spacey, but it's endearing. I didn't have much interest in stats before I took her class but she made it a lot of fun.

Excellent class. She was always willing to help and answer questions either office visits or email. Her goal is the student's success. She will take time to go over points that are difficult. Will review homework before due date to provide very helpful guidance. She presented a lot of interesting examples in class. The most fun I've ever had.

We didn't have a textbook for a while, so there was really nothing to look at except your notes. But notes are difficult to take because she's all over the board. She was always willing to answer questions. Knows what she's talking about and has some interesting examples. Would be better if she was more organized and clearer with her instructions.

Was a very interesting teacher and extreamly helpfull when asked. She has a good sense of humer as well. Be shur not to goof off though for this can get her pretty steamed. Other then that she is a very good teacher and I would be willing to take more of her classes in the time to come.

Very intelligent, and nice! You don't always find the two together. Good presentation, gets the point across well. Will repeat it if necessary. Very helpful. You must do the homework. I made it a point to take calc 2 from her. Best of the Best!
