Shows great movies, if you like film this is the class for you. Midterm n a final only, and you need to study. She gives very little time for the midterm n its a ton to know. Do not buy the books you wont need them. Use your recorder on your phone, record her lectures, and regurgitate what she said back to her, the end, easy A,would take again

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Did I say horrible? She is no help whatsoever, I mean it. When you ask for help she tells you to read the book 1,000x and then you leave learning less from before. For any of her classes I say avoid at all cost but unless you get lucky with a semester: Your stuck with her whether you like it or not.

She's hilarious! Extremely enthusiastic about what shes teaching. Tests are all essays but if you take good notes and repeat everything she said on the test you'll get an A. She shows pretty good movies too. I never read any of the textbook assignments and still has an A. I'd def recommend her

Bisen is BY FAR one of the best teachers I have ever had! I took her 3 times! She's so sweet, and will do anything she can to help you. She'll tell you her tests are hard...but you write down everything she says and you're guaranteed an A. This lady influenced me so much, and she shows the BEST movies....and makes it so interesting!

alright teacher..her tests are incredibly difficult, 6 essays in an hour on very abstract topics. our final was canceled and rather than reschedule it, everyone got an A for it..that was kinda cool

Very weird lady. Extremely enthusiastic about film history which makes her extremely annoying. The exams are are just a bunch of essays questions that are very, very broad amd she only gives you an hour to finish. She is very annoying but if you go to class and write down what she says, you should be all right. Acts like a hard ass but isn't.

I loved her class. She showed great movies and was always around to answer any questions. For the midterm and final you have to write four or five page long essays - but it's not as hard as it seems. I would def. reccomend taking her if you can.

She goes her way out to help you out. Very friendly and a great attitude. Very passionate about films. Classes are hard but long as you come to class and take good (I'll even go far to say decent notes) notes, you'll be fine. It may not be rigourous as she saids but studying is needed.

She said it would be rigorous. Hardly. I skimmed the readings, wrote down every name she said, and then regurgitated it to her on the tests. Exams were general; explain several terms in essay form (i.e., studio system). I wrote A LOT, got A. She was really into the class. Good films -- Casablanca!

I hated her in the beginning bc she was rude and hyper beyond belief and unwilling to help non film majors...but she turned out ok...tests are really hard bc you MUST know every aspect of the genres you're watching...only 2 grades...midterm and final...so make sure you studyyyyy
