Comment:

Dr. Cheung really cares about his students. His lectures are interesting and he is a very entertaining professor (funny jokes: you won't be bored in his 3 hour lectures). The lecture notes are very basic, so attendance is essential to pass this course. This class is also very beneficial to life after school. A 12 is not out of reach WITH effort!

I loved this class and this prof. The tests got harder as time went on, but weren't a challenge if you attend class regularly. Class is interesting and isn't just a guy standing at the front of the room reading off a powerpoint. Out of 5 classes last semester, this was one of two I regularly attended because it was important and worthwhile.

Professor Sherman is on the top list of the worst professors I have had at McMaster University. His teaching style is awful and unclear, his notes are unclear as he uses one term to describe the entire concept and he is unable to clearly communicate what is on the test. If you do not go to class then you will either fail or receive a bad grade.

This is the second worst professor I've had at McMaster. His notes are horrendous, doesn't tell you what the midterms will cover (even though they're worth 30%), tells you to buy a $155 textbook and doesn't reference it at all, tests are based off his lecture notes (which are awful). In order to pass you must Google all the topics he discusses.

Sherman is a good man, don't get me wrong. His tests are all over the place, way too hard. The class average is is a C. He is an awfull teacher, smart man, just a horrible teacher. This course has the potential to be great if it was 6 units. Too much jammed into 3 units. I think he forgets that people in this course are not commerce students!!

BEST PROF EVER!! many ppl find him to be hard, and it might be partially true, but he's amazing! I trully adored that course and even wanted to fail in order to take it again! he's mean, tough and funny at the same time. GREAT PROF! GREAT COURSE!

Agree with other comments. Notes are horrible, yet tests are usually based on them. Reading textbook is pointless, because material tested from textbook is perhaps a small paragraph out of a 30 page chapter. No direction on what to study for, lack of clairty, one of the worse profs ive had.
