Comment:

She uses guided notes during lecture but the examples in class are very different from the exams. Reading and practicing problems helps a lot more but it's still hard to finish the exam in the time she gives you. She also makes a lot of errors when grading but will give points back if her answer is wrong so make sure to double check your grade!

she's a good instructor for chemistry 1, my major is CS, so I don't need to take Chem 2. If I do, I'd take her for Chem 2 as well. I meant I'm gonna do any jobs relative to Chemistry in life, but it is so easy to get an A with her, she gives a lot of bonus credit, in fact, amount all instructors i've had, she's the one who gives the most bonus Cre

I havent met any professor like her in my lifetime. She has not even confidence level in class and does several mistakes. Please skip her class and thank me later. Exams are always multiple choice and no points for the steps you do. Better take other chemistry classes. Never seen such a lazy teacher. Frustrated taking her classes. Please skip.

She has a habit of sending out emails with study guides on them, and then those ideas are not present on the following exam. Rinse and repeat 4 times until the final, but at that point there's no saving your grade. Either be prepared to memorize an entire textbook so you're always ready, or choose someone else. I'd have dropped it if I could've.

Worst teacher I've ever had. I got a tutor and still failed the class. You really have to study hard to get a good grade on tests. If you take too long on each question you will not finish. She doesn't give full class time for exams. If you aren't pretty good at chemistry or learning on your own, do not take this course with her. She is confusing.

Guided notes are great. They would be better if they were relevant to the tests. If youre banking on the final to bring your grade up, drop the class. Its incredibly difficult though not impossible to get a good grade on an exam.

She really is the worst. Explains things terribly, gets problems wrong, and her tests are all messed up. Her tests are only 25 questions but worth 100pts, so if you miss one question that is already 4 percent gone. If you haven't taken chemistry before you are SCREWED. She is legit a terrible professor, and she always cancels her office hours

Very unorganized, though I'm not sure how much I can blame her. She has to teach 200 students, so it's understandable to a degree how hard it is to learn from her. However, I've had other huge lecture classes that've been fine.

Took this class as part of my minor---big mistake picking her! Lectures were confusing because she was so unorganized. Tests were pretty tough and she refused to curve one because someone was caught cheating. Also, she declared that she would not be dropping any test scores starting this semester. Somehow, I still got a B.

Basically taught myself the entire course with no help from her. She does drop your lowest test score and her final was a replica of each prior exam and practice exams, and she curves but do not expect to learn anything from her. If you have a strong background in Chemistry this course will be easy, if not, take someone else, trust me.

Horrible teacher. It's hard to understand her and argues with the students. Messes up problems almost all the time. Unorganized and lazy with notes. Doesn't know how to use basic technology. Tests are not what we go over the notes in class. Doesn't understand basic chemistry and she is a PROFESSOR. It makes me wonder how she was hired to teach.

I quickly realized that she doesn't come to class prepared, meaning that she doesn't work out the problems before class, which is frustrating to me because i am trying to learn new material, but instead she's trying to figure out how to do the problem, wasting class time. Also, she sneaks info on the test that wasn't covered during lecture.

I took Dr. Lovelace, for Gen. Chem. 1. She has been the worst teacher of my life thus far. She was very unorganized. Her lectures are not very informative, and the tests had many mistakes on them. She does not explain the concepts very well and often contradicts the statements that she makes regarding the material in class. Do not take her.
