Aweful aweful aweful class. Her notes are scattered. They don't make any sense to me. Her tests are hard. Too much material for the short amount of time. She keeps the class forever. (Not good when it's before chapel.)

good greif- i had bence and they changed it to horst- cause they knew no one would sign up for her class. its of the devil. its supposed to be a gen ed and you do more work for that class than one of your major classes and learn nothing. advice: if you get her- drop.

Took the final- someone forgot this is a gen. ed course. Don't take her, you won't learn a thing and it is quite difficult. She tries to fly through things, holds you after class, and generally has no idea what she is doing.

Several in our class have given her the name "psycho-woman". She is so random and plays favorites in class for no reason. Her exams require you to know a ridiculous amount of details. The one postive thing is the CAPS and quizzes to help boost your grade. Try to take someone other than a Horst!

If you suck up to her enough then you might stand a chance. Exams are ridicously difficult. She talks so fast in class that there is no time to process what she's saying or you'll never catch up on the notes which equals death. If you must take her then take it pass/fail and buckle up.

I can't stand to be in that class. Everyday I have to drag myself there. She is scatterbrained and doesn't plan at all for class. She thinks she always has to be right. It's philosophy, whats the point of debating when she won't try to see your side?

She is the only prof I have disliked in 3 years at IWU! Don't believe this poll-she's awful! Ask around-she's notorious! I made a big mistake by not checking first-I had to drop her class-no grace! One of the worst profs at IWU-she has major issues!

I've never worked so hard in a class only to lose my academic scholarship. She needs to know what she's teaching before she gives us random notes and then forgets what philosopher she's talking about. She doesn't let us learn from our mistakes on tests.
