I just finished my fall semester in her 101 level course. Difficult grader on exams and quizzes. Never reaches out to students when they try to contact her. Doesn't believe students if they tell her that they learning troubles with language. My advice: don't take her class, but if you do, make sure you let her know who you are & do not skip.

Comment:
Professor Pachman is very nice, however even when taking the introduction class (SP 101) her rule is that you must talk in spanish. This was very difficult, as we would waste half of the class time trying to figure out what she said and then have hardly anytime to learn the content. Also, her "fun" activities did nothing but waste time.

She is the most helpful teacher you will ever have. On the other hand, she is harder then most spanish teachers because she follows the rules of the curriculum to a tee, where as other teachers do what they want. Overall, it is worth it to take her if you do not want to get up for an 8am spanish class.

An outstanding Spanish teacher. She really goes out of her way to be creative, helpful, entertaining and responsive. A challenging professor at times, but overall fair, accurate, and is the best spanish teacher I have ever had.
