I ended up dropping this class, which i have never done. DO NOT TAKE HER FOR ANYTHING ABOVE 101. shes awful. i tried so hard and studied every night and would tear apart my essays and tests because they did satisfy her even tho they has tons of information. she is extremely rude and unhelpful if she does not care about her students

Tests are so hard even if you look at the study guide. the book is useless. if you don't write everything she mentions in class, its hard to do well.

I did not stay up every night for this class. She gives out these really easy homework assignments once a week or so, they take about 10-15 minutes to do. She gives out a study guide at the beginning of new material. Just fill it out and you'll do well. Don't bother with the book, I never even opened mine and I got an A. She only wants her info.

Wallace is very strict but she tells you exactly what she wants, so the class is easy. She gives you a study guide, you go to class, you fill out the study guide as you go. I made an A on every test because I studied the study guide. It's not as hard as people make it out to be. She's strict with attendance and cell phones- otherwise, she's nice.

AVOID this class! Do not take it! Unless you want to stay up late every night and only focus on her class! She is very harsh about grading, and if you don't write down everything that she says, YOUR WRONG; even if the book states it clearly! Do not take this class

Very poor instructor. Very rude to students. Extremely difficult, if not impossible exam grader. very hard to meet with, and unless you are very strong in history, especially art history do not take her! there are a billion different electives at cofc, don't make the mistake of choosing this one. highly strict attendance. only wants her info on exa

Maybe there is something going on in her life this year, but she is downright rude. We have spent an large amount of class time being told that we need to say Good Morning better, we are not well traveled, and we don't know our biblical stories well enough. As an art history major, she often offends me by making judgments about students in this way

although she acts like she doesnt care at times, i can tell she does care about her students. i missed to many days in her class & she sent me an email to bring in notes, i did not have doc. notes for her class and explained i did not want to fail. and she gave me a warning. i thought that was very kind of her because she could of just dropped me.

If you are good at memorizing then you will be fine. You have to be able and look at artwork and tell the date, culture, and title..which she gives you on the study guide. The hard part is that you have to memorize like 50 and she only picks 7 for the test. You also have to write 5 to 7 sentences about the piece. Thats it! 4 tests

Class can get a little boring, but she's a really sweet lady. You can tell that if you went up to her and started talking Art History that she'd be really enthusiastic to talk to you, even though she is a little shy. Pay attention and read your book!

I never read the book, just went to class and took notes. Her tests are easy, you just have to memorize your notes. Not the most interesting class and she gets really caught up in all the cathedrals but overall, not bad.

Go to class, take notes, use the book to follow along if your confused. Do the web assignments they're really easy. No one takes advantage of the fact that they can show her their study guides and notes and she'll correct them/make comments on them. lights are off lecture is monotonous but there's no reason to fail this class.

she loves the gothic stuff. class is divided into three sections with three exams. prehistoric, greek and roman, and medieval. i ****ed up the first exam because i didn't know the dates, but she gives you a study guide for each exam. i managed to pull off an a. read, show up, pay attention, and study. don't take it if you don't care about it.

She's not as bad as some of the negative comments say she is. She's nice, and gives a great study guide. She tends to make slightly negative comments about the class's overall test scores sometimes, but I think it's to motivate people somehow. Show her you're actually interested in the material, she loves that. But her tests are still pretty hard.

DO NOT TAKE. She told me in the middle of the semester not to come back to class anymore because no matter what I did, I couldn't pass. No extra credit or help. She doesn't care about students succeeding. I lost my LIFE Scholarship because of this class and I am now a financial burden on my parents thanks to Ms.Wallace. Worst Professor at CofC.

Professor Wallace is a nice person, but class was so boring! She dimmed the lights every single day, and lectures were always the same. There was no diversity. Tests were nothing but memorization, and for someone who is not an arthistory major, it was really hard, especially for an intro class. Any interest I had in art is gone after her class.

I liked this class. It was rather dull sometimes just because she tends to repeat everything about 20 times before moving on. She's very sweet and tries to know her students. Lots of reading and memorizing, but it's manageable if you don't try and cram for the exam the night before. (Tried that once, didn't work.)

She is very nice. Her material is hard, but she makes it as easy as possible. Awesome study guide! Lots of studying and full lecture every class, but sign-in attendance sheet. If you've got a light classload, take her, she's your best option and you'll actually learn!
