Comment:
Sheri is quite the academic - she is helpful if you know what to ask, and she will try to help you find the question if you need. In CS classes at least - a wise person should be aware that she generally will not seek out help for you by checking on everyone, she accepts too many people to do that. The squeaky wheel gets the grease as they say.

Sheri is someone you will have to actually demonstrate dedication and effort to. If you are used to coasting by/putting your failures on your professors (like most of evergreen) then she might bum you out. Otherwise if you can keep up you will have a phenomenal time and learn incredibly well. She is an insanely useful resource and really cares.

I left her class because she would get angry at me when I would ask on-topic questions at appropriate times and because when I tried to make an appointment to speak with her, she refused on the grounds that I "was a worrier." Several times she dramatically changed the class schedule. She ruined computer science for me.

It has been a while since I was Sherri's student, but I really enjoyed learning from her. By far, her best topic is UNIX system call programming, and the C programming language.

Sherri is very intelligent but quite scatterbrained. She did not have our midterms graded until the day of our final exam and she did not give us feedback on a single assignment. However, I would definitely take one of her classes again. Despite her limitations as a teacher, she really is worth her weight in salt. You just need to be aware.

Sherri talks insanely fast. If you cease to pay attention for even a few moments, you might have no idea what is going on. She is also kind of lazy. Overall she is a good professor, you just really have to want to learn, and pay attention constantly.

Sheri is an expert in discrete languages. If you love the beauty and art of conjugating computer languages she is the teacher for you. If you want a teacher that will listen to you and answer the question you asked her. You will not enjoy her as a teacher. I wouldn't take classes from her again.

Amazingly intellegent woman. She has a wealth of knowledge, but is also very busy! If she feels like you are worth her time she will give you the key to more knowledge that you even knew existed.

Don't ask her questions. She really hates them. Very smart woman, but not approachable at all and sometimes get fidgety when things don't go her way... such as when students don't understand her lectures.

The woman is perpetually tense. She doesn't do well teaching beginning-level material, but if you are already an experienced programmer, she can make you a freaking master. She's also a god: responsible for System V Sockets, so bow down.
