Dr. Shirley Kilpatrick is one of the most genuine, quirky, and knowledgable professors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is passionate about what she teaches and making sure that you as a student are grasping and learning what she is teaching you. Has the most spectacular personal style. Adore her.

Comment:

She's nice--one of the few profs who prays w her advisees. The Humanities classes are about a Christian worldview but it's not based on the Bible or reformed writers. They defer to pagans like Aristotle, secular writers, and heterodox theologians. Rather than memorizing pagan poetry the students could learn Bible verses, the catechism, etcetera.

Though the material we studied was deep and sometimes difficult her grading is fair. She is one of the most EXCELLENT professors I have ever had. She genuinely cares about her students, prays for them, and is willing to help them academically, emotionally, and spiritually. She has changed my life. She is an amazing woman of God.

She is awesome! Her lectures were the most interesting ones I have ever heard for a class like this. Each was creative and entertaining in their own way. She is always open to help you if you need it. Most importantly she was always open for prayer requests if you wanted prayed for.

Mrs. K puts all of her emotions out on the line each class for everyone to see. Most freshman make jokes cause she's an easy target, but she is an excellent discussion leader and shows a genuine interest in every students opinions and lives. I would love to see what her closet looks like.
