The worst teacher I've ever had. He's basically an old man who wants someone to talk to. Rarely taught history or used text books. He basically gets side tracked and talks about his own personal history or his moral beliefs. Midterm and take home test are easy but plan on failing the final; no amount of studying can prepare you properly for it.

I took his India class and it has to be one of the worst classes I have ever taken. You cannot understand a word he says, he rarely uses the textbook, and when he does, he gets completely sidetracked. I don't really think he wants to be teaching--I think he is semi retired actually. Anyway, bring something to pass the time in class.

The man is retired and still teaches to stay busy. If you want an easy A take this class. Yes, you cannot understand him, his MP final is a joke b/c u can fail it and still get an A, like i did. One of the midterms he gives the questions 2 wks in advance and the 2nd mid is take home. Do the extra credit and you will get an A

India from antiquity-1526 was a very painful class. He has a strong accent and his lectures are slow. I suggest you read the book and do something else in class, or not show up. A midterm, take home test, and a multichoice final which I failed, but still got an A in the class cuz of the extra credit he offers. I still would never take him again.

A very sad situation. Lectures are repetive, painfully slow...difficult to understand so reading the text a MUST. Irritable, at times but seems to be a nice man. Disorganized, confussed often, unreadable maps distributed. Such an ubelievably painful class to sit through. Miss class o.k. just read the books and teach yourself. Do extra credit.

Dr. Bajpai is brilliant if you listen to him. It's alright if you leave to use the restroom, just don't come back or you'll be in trouble. he has a great sense of humor if you're smart enough to catch it.

If you wanna take a class in which you do not understand a word- he's the one. His TAs are great but he makes no sense what so ever. It took me 3 weeks to understand the simple phrase "at any rate"

I could understand him at all because of his strong accent. His student teachers helped more than he did after a break he would leave. They do not lecture on what will be on the test. I hated this claa. Don't want your GPA to go down...Avoid this man!!!!!!

Awful. I skipped every other class. Could not understand him at all, was mean to the students, would not let us leave to use the restroom. His accent plus him eating the microphone made it impossible to listen. Good TA though.

One of worst classes i've taken in CSUN. He teaches mostly religious history, has a horrible indian accent, which makes it hard to understand. His tests are not easy, and he is a horrible lecturer. Should be avoided!!!!!!!!!
