Comment:
Does not listen to student input and tells students they are wrong about their interpretations. A bit doddering and confused. Word retrieval is a disaster as he mumbles and stumbles through explanations. He actually appeared to nod off once or twice. Has outlived his usefulness in the classroom.

Comment:
Drama lit is boring as hell, but the man knows his sh*t and if you're the literary type you might enjoy it. Otherwise, his more advanced classes are some of the best at BU. Very nice guy. Dedicated to the creative development of his students.

Sid is a wonderful man and a great resource to be tapped. Drama Lit is tough to get through, but he is an extremeley intelligent director and one day all the work will apply and make sense. Very good natured and reasonable.

Objective grading is almost impossible in this class. Slog your way through it; you may actually learn something.

Sid is brilliant. Though his history and lit classes can be dry, the man knows his stuff. More advanced work with him was one of the most rewarding parts of my whole experience with BU's program. One of very few teachers who showed sincere dedication to the creative development of his students.

i wish there had been some consistancy with the TAs.it was completely left up to luck of the draw. for the same quality of work, one TA would award a project a C, while another an A. i felt like i had no control over my grade in that class.

Def knows his stuff. I wish he'd be more open to at least the possibility of ideas other than his own strict interpretations. Also, does not grade himself. Classes are relitively small so this does not make sense to me. TAs seem to have personal issues and shouldn't be allowed "the power"

Though sometimes he's not very clear, he's a good person, very funny, and makes a huge effort to be the best he can be. I appreciate that.

Not the most open-minded with literature and views on lit. But the man is brilliant, so if you get a chance you should just talk to him. Very accessable out of class and great director too.

He has a tendency to believe that his interpretation of texts is the only belief out there. All of the reading is history of theater stuff. While the projects are all script anaylsis forms. He also doesn't explain the projects fully intil after its due.
