To be honest, Professor Fernandez was one of the best Math Professors I ever had. She is willing to help you, if you talk to her after class, and at office hours. Even though I am not great at math, this math class was easy and straight forward. I enjoyed the art chapter of the class. I am glad that I am finished with mathematics in college.

3 online exams and 1 in person exam but no midterm or final. She is very lecture heavy and will teach until the every last second of class. She will teach over 4 topics in a class period and will assign homework and written assignments every week. I really hated the 2 art projects at the end. She is a very slow grader. Not very nice.

Honestly the easiest math you can take. Homework is due on Fridays online and they're usually around 5-10 questions. No textbook required but there is a CSUN book made for the class (Pretty cheap) No final exams or midterms. Attendance isn't mandatory, she's very helpful and not strict at all, would take again

She's a good teacher and pretty fair, but the class was hard. Make sure you do every HW, go to every class, and at least try every extra credit. These things REALLY add up and will help your grade, especially if you are struggling w/some of the material. The study guide is definitely representative of tests. So glad to have Discrete Math behind me

she is very nice. home works are kinda hard and she grades them. 4 quizzes based on home works. there are 2 mid terms. you'll do fine on the mid terms if you master her study guides. the final was more challenging than her mid terms, but you'll end up with a better grade than you expected.

She is extremely helpful when you have any questions. She does plenty of examples in class and also goes over homework if there is any questions. Assigns reasonable amount of homework. Gives study guides, some with no answers. She tells you what will exactly be on the test, so you can focus on studying those specific points.

The exams and the HW are very difficult because she does not cover all the types of problems in class. Provides study guide but no answers, gives extra credit after every test. Often teaches hard or inefficient methods. Overall she is not so bad but if you can get someone else better definitely go for them instead.

Not the best professor. She moves quickly & does not do a good job of answering questions. I passed because of the help from SI, her slides, and tutors, because she is not helpful at all. Homework is on wileyplus program, sometimes useless work. Tests were fair, a bit hard but if you study and understand the material you'll do fine.

Aside from popular belief from a lot of students in my class, she is a great professor, gives helpful tips into solving hard problems. It is calculus not pre-algebra. She does her job but a lot of students don't do theirs. Great professor, does care for your grade. Personally, she made calculus much easier for me.

Quite possibly the worst math teacher ever. She is a very nice woman, but she has no clue on how to teach. WebWork is useless (I scored 100% on each homework and completed every single assignment and still failed every test). Lessons are straight from the book, and study guides for exams are long, difficult, and do not come with solutions.

Worst Professor at CSUN! I tried numerous times to approach her after class and get help. I emailed her, called her, and she never replied! Doesn't care if you fail! Her classes are always the last to fill up because she honestly is horrible. Do not take her!

She is a nice woman but cannot teach well. Her accent is very thick and it is very hard to hear exactly what she is saying. She moves quickly throughout the chapters and goes on tangents solving other problems before completing the one she was working on before. Tests are poorly worded. Rely heavily on book and SI class to learn material. good luck

Ok shes a really nice lady and her class would have been perfect if she would've taught a class of like 20, but in the big room she was in it was very hard to hear/see what she was doing. I sat in the second row and still had trouble understanding what she was saying. I would not recommend if you aren't prepared to teach yourself the matierial
