I found the topic to be pretty interesting at most times. Keller was interesting and really knew what he was talking about. I thought the grading seemed fair.

Smart and witty, keeps things fun and clear despite readings being rather tedious. Accent makes his examples of "torturing kittens" even funnier. TFs are horrible and are inconsistent with grades. Don't expect an A even if you're a good writer. Interesting class and might get you to change your mind about how the world works.

Very good class. If you take good notes and study readings the exams are not too bad, but they are essay format. Lectures are very clearly outlined and easy to follow. Honors section requires very little extra work.

explains things very clearly in class, but will work w/ u in office hrs if u need it. TFs are killer, but he's not an easy grader either. I worked my ass off for a b- in ph150 and I had to write an A paper to pull off a b+ in ph244. He's arrogant, but when you're as brillant as he is, that's a right. It's an interesting class, but bad for GPAs.

Keller is the most unhelpful professor I've ever had. The TF's are terrible and the grading is inconsistent. Keller can be mean and arrogant. I found his lectures difficult to follow and the readings are way too long and boring. His in-class exams are ridiculous.

Easy to follow, clear, but grading is subjective especially with the TA. Expect to write perfect papers and exactly what they want to hear if you want to do well

Keller is a very smart professor who is often condescending and cocky. His lecture are well organized, and engaging. He assigns a ton of reading. His tests are tough and papers are graded by TF's that are not as competent

Hes so full of himself, and hates it when people comment in class. He says he wants his students to contribute in discussion, but he hates it when no one agrees with his views. And plus he is not good looking at all!

Keller was a lot of fun in class, but I don't feel like he gave us a real view of the subject matter. His personal opinions constantly surfaced. I enjoyed taking the class but felt somewhat unsatisfied after all was said and done.

Keller is a great professor- he makes complicated concepts very clear and uses funny examples. His lectures are very organized which is great. Sometimes he gets annoyed if too many people ask questions. TAs are tough graders, but I got an A- so it is not impossible. Great class- highly recommended!

this class sucks. the TFs are awful & just not human. keller says in the beginning that he doesn't give out As unless the paper is something that could be seen in a scholarly journal, so don't expect an A. the class itself is fairly engaging, as keller is really f unny, but that doesn't make up for his/the TF's awful grading.

Keller is great at simplifying what could otherwise be tedious readings. He can be funny but the material is still dull. It's hard to get an A. The TF's arent great at clarifying and grade pretty hard. Don't expect an easy A.

Keller's lectures are very clear and he is a genius. The reason I didn't do great in the class was because of the TF. He was terrible. Try to get Keller for discussion. Lots of papers! One midterm and One final and 3 papers. Lots of work for a level 100 class. Don't take it as an easy elective because it isn't!!

Professor Keller makes what would be a seemingly difficult subject very easy through his clear and concise examples. His midterm and final are somewhat difficult and the TFs grade ridiculously hard. He reminds you that the class average is a B- and it shows. Otherwise, he is a great teacher and extremely frequently funny. (don't skip fridays!)

Comment:
A pompous arse who can't direct his class well enough to have a decent discussion. Cuts off legitimate points from all who attend and replaces them with his charicatures of legitamite moral theorists. Throws out Kant, Mills, Rawls etc. for modern philosophers who advance illogical theories of "special moral obligations" for every situation. This class: An abandonment of logical reasoning and in-depth analysis. Heated debate between your typical left and right BU students that never goes anywhere.
