Comment:
Quint was often very rude and made the class very hard by grouping too many topics together at once. He was flexible with grades if you asked for feedback later on, which was helpful if you wanted a boost on your grade. Some of his syllabus rules were unnecessary and he got very frustrated if you didnt follow them even once. Would not take again.

The most passive-aggressive professor I have ever met. His teaching style was so bizarre that I couldn't believe I was in a college-level calculus course at times. He would teach in ways that were elementary such as making us "fill in the blanks" of random phrases on the board. Also comes up w his own strange methods rather than what is in the book

Completely unorganized, doesn't clarify what he is looking for in any assignment, pretty much just wings the material for the class, can't read anything he writes on the board, teaches his lesson facing the board. Doesn't make sure his students understand the material. He is the absolute worst professor I have ever had. Do not take his classes.

Worst professor I have taken. Very cringy style. Talks to himself and constantly repeats same things. Has class repeat after him as if he were teaching elementary students. Has someone else grade homework and does not get straight to the point when answering questions.

Although Professor Quint is a really nice guy he made an easy class hard and confusing by his jumbled topic lectures and constant mistakes you were not allowed to correct. He is understanding that some students work slow, however, there is no balance between fast and slow pace, his lectures were always super slow. He also gets off topic very often.

Professor Quint genuinely cares about you and your grade. He is sorta on the whacky side, but he is so kind hearted, everyday in class he tells us that we are perfect the way we are and we should never change. he LOVES participation!! his policy is no calculators (it may seem scary at first) but its not. overall caring wonderful man.

By far the most misunderstood professor I have ever had. He is unquestionably an extremely strange man, but his intentions are true and he really just wants you to try. Without a doubt the most influential professor I ever had. To this day, I even use his silly quirks like "Fun" and "Today is new day".

this guy actually kicked someone out of class for asking questions. it was not a big deal and he made it into one. he gives a 5 min break and if your not back exactly on time you will be marked absent for the whole day. this guy does little to help your progression in learning math rather than spew the problems from his head to blackboard.

He writes everything on the board and his lectures are boring, extremely boring. Class is long and tiresome. He also eyes you when you aren't doing the problems on the board and he's rather rude during class. Some people like him, but I found him extremely annoying and irritating.

Has a unique way of teaching precalc. Course isn't hard, but I had also just taken precalc in high school with a very thorough teacher. If you go to him for help, he will help you. Questions on quizzes/exams are usually a step up from any problems he does in class. Gives boosts to final grades if you attend class and try hard.

Quirky, knows his stuff, and pretty boring; you might fall asleep in class. That being said, he only wants his students to exceed, and pretty much begs you to ask him questions. He is one of the nicest professors I've taken. He'll often say "you're wonderful the way you are" and to "never change". Advertises office hours constantly to help.

If you are good at doing math without a calculator, take him! If not, avoid because it is insanely hard. Tests are really challenging because he crams a lot of material in them. He takes the whole class time and writes EVERYTHING he says on the board. Also gets off topic a lot and craves participation.

I love Simon Quint and do not see how anyone would feel otherwise. This professor only wants to see you succeed, but like every other college class, if you do not do your share, there is nothing he can do about it. Homework must be done but is not a grade and the test and quizzes are straight forward.

I''d like to quote him on one thing that he says like it''s going out of style You''re perfect the way you are and don''t change for anyone The amount of times he says that half way makes me want to hug him and throw my shoe at him Yes he is very good at explaining anything he teaches but dumbs himself down for this pre-calc class. Horrible

Lets set this straight. He's a good teacher to learn from.He is a SLOW AND MONOTONE teacher so you WILL fall asleep. However he explains very thoroughly and sends a lot of emails. He cares and wants to help. Not my type of teacher but I think he is a good professor.Depends on the type of student you are. He's very weird but laughs at himself. Enjoy!

Truly cares about his students & will do anything to help, however he is not a good professor. He constantly rambles to himself, is unorganized and unclear. His teaching style is horrible. Caring person however best advice is to NOT take him and if you do,and take advantage of his office hours.

I really like him as a person and professor. He does everything he can to help students such as by providing his office hours. He communicates frequently by email so check it often. I only use the text book for homework which he assigns twice a week, not bad at all. I recommend attending every class and taking notes. I definitely recommend him!

Ok, he is different. But I took him my second try at calc 1 and when from an F to a C. Even though he may send wierd emails and asks about the class maybe too often, he really seems to care. Just like any other class, if you do the work, pay atention, and ask questions when you are confused you can pass his class.

Hard quizzes if you don't study the notes but the exams aren't as hard. Really funny guy though and always asking if you have questions and really wants students to do well even if they aren't doing so well.
