Dr. Haynes is tough! She is not easy at all! If you can take it in Gadsden with another teacher! This is the hardest class I have ever taken! Make sure you attend everyday and takes notes and study, study for her tests! She is devoted to Reaing but isn't as clear as other teachers! HARD CLASS with her!

DO NOT call her Mrs. she has to be called DR. HAYNES. She is cold, unhelpful, and unsupportive. She offers little to no help. No textbook-only her typed book. Taking good notes is NOT enough. When she says it is okay you forgot to add items to your DRTA's, she means you still will not get the points. She is very inconsistent with her information.

Dr. Haynes is a hard teacher but everything that you learn in her class will be on the praxis 11! If you pass her class, you will be ready to teach any reading class!!! Stay on top of your assignments and you will do fine! I made a B and had 2 jobs!!!! Just get very organized!!!!

Dr. Haynes is a wonderful professor. She makes teaching reading exciting and will show you tons of neat ideas. My advice:attend class, take good notes, start early on projects, give it 100%, have a good attitiude, and make note cards of "all" of your notes to study for the tests. You'll be fine! She is a good teacher and you will be too!

I really did learn a lot about reading by taking this class. Her tests and quizzes are what makes you or breaks you. They're designed to help if you make a good grade. Normally teachers' tests are easy to figure out, but hers are different every time. I just could not figure out what to expect.

Dr. Haynes is very passonate about reading. It shows in her lectures--which start late and causes class to go over. She gives daily quizes that can hurt your grade. She gives meaningful assignments but they take forever to do and are worth very little points. She is not very understanding when it comes to illnesses, etc.
