Although he doesn't like students coming late and attendance is mandatory, you will never want to miss his class. Missing his class is just missing out on the most fun part of your day. Classes are super fun. I don't usually say this but wish I had Mr. Ward for all the courses required for my degree! Pro tip: Ask him for "cool math facts"

Patrick Ward is probably the best math instructor Ive had in my entire school career. I HATE math, but I loved this class. He has a real-world application for every concept he teaches, which makes it that much easier to understand. Hes hilarious and I 100% recommend taking him if youre looking for someone who can make math an enjoyable subject.

Ward is quite honestly one of the best professors I had this semester. Although I did not struggle with his class like I did others, he is very adamant on ensuring students know the concepts of what he is teaching. I would highly recommend taking his courses.

Mr. Ward is a good teacher for students who need a refresh and nothing more. He picks his ace students and let's them run the class while the ace students leave everyone else behind. His lessons fail to make any clear light in how to do problems. His homework is all online which doesn't really translate to being able to do the work with a pencil.

Mr. Ward is one of the best professors I have ever had. He makes math matter. His "real world math" breaks in class are often my favorite part. This class is three hours long, and I would not be able to sit through it with any other teacher. Have a question? He won't move on until he is sure you understand. He is also hilarious.

Professor Ward does a wonderful job at his job. You can tell he seriously cares about the success of his students. He's also VERY easy to speak with and recieve help from if unsure about anything. He basically wont move on unless you understand the given material. I took him for 094 and he told me i have the ability of moving on so i went to 110!

This professor is fantastic at his job. He really cares about his students in the class. His grading criteria is clear and understandable. His tests/quizes are not very hard unless you didn't study for them. I would reccomend this professor to everybody. I hate math & I am terrible at it but I passed every math class of his with a high B-low A.

While math has always been difficult for me, this course was easy to follow with examples from the book and online prompts. One homework and quiz per chapter. One test to come in person to take. Few email interactions I did have with him to confirm quiz answers were curt (like I should know what was the right answer) but don't be put off by that.

Great professor! Always willing to help and go through steps to make sure things are clear. Participation is a big thing expected from him however, he does not force you. He does a great job going over what will be on his tests so you are able to prepare yourself.

Prof ward does a ton of examples and always asks if we're following what he is explaining. A bit of a smart alleck but super funny and cares about you doing well. I try to get him for any math class that I can.

I haven't really been good at math since I was a sophomore in high school and this is my first online math college class and I can say it is very easy as long as you do the homework and quizzes. It is very helpful as in the book is just a click away and there is examples you can follow. Only one midterm, one project, and no final.

If you can, take any available math courses with Prof Ward! He knows his stuff and is great at explaining the material in a clear way. Tests are easy if you study what he goes over in class. I'd take again anytime!

Only 6 homework assignments and 6 quizzes and 1 midterm. No final. There are discussion posts every week but you don't have to discus, you just post and very easy like post your prior experiences with the Pythagorean theorem. Homework sometimes very lengthy but easy class! Very understanding too!

I have never had a better teacher. He doesn't take it easy on you because he sees the potential in everyone. If you are struggling he goes out of his way to help you understand. I would take the class again in a heartbeat.

If you go to ICC and you have to take a math class that he teaches, do whatever it takes to get into his class. He is one of, if not the, best math teachers I have ever had. ICC would be lost without him really!
