Spence is a great teacher. He explains everything perfectly and makes it very easy to learn. One thing I really liked about him is that he over-prepared you for the tests (which is a huge part of your grade) so they seemed pretty easy when you got to them.

This is the man. He explains everything so perfectly. I have taken 3 courses with the man as my teacher and i couldn't be happier. Helpful, makes sure the class understands the material before moving on, Knows when a concept is hard and more time is needed to be devoted to said concept, just an overall amazing teacher.

The ONLY good math teacher I've ever had. I was so scared to take Calc, but he was such a good teacher that I even enjoyed the class. It certainly wasn't an easy class, but he explained everything so well.

Spence is the only teacher of advanced math at Bay, so you're stuck with him. For this reason, it is a good thing that Spence is not only the best math teacher on Earth, he is the best math teacher EVER -- past, present, and future! I've had 5 classes with him and I still cannot come up with the words to describe how awesome this guy is!

Spence is not only the greatest teacher at Bay College, or merely the greatest Math teacher, he is the greatest teacher of all time! His lectures are very clear and informative, as are his notes. He is more than willing to help you outside of class. Also, the only people he ever gets mad at are those who deserve it.

He is helpful but when you go see him he acts like he doesn't want you there in the first place. He does get really pissy and he tends to throw little temper tantrums in front of the class. if i would retake the class it would not be with him!!

As many others have said on this website, Spencer Slade is a professor you cannot beat. His lectures are clear and easy to follow, and he puts a lot of the responsibily on his shoulders by handing out lecture notes, etc. Sometimes he does get grumpy, but you just have to try not to step on his toes on those days. I recommend him over all others.

Spence was the greatest math teacher that I've ever had. He made even the most difficult math courses easy. He knows his stuff. I'm at Mich Tech now, and I could only wish to get another math instructor like him for Calc III and for Diffy Q.

By far the best math teacher I've ever had. Spence does everything in his power to teach his subject and connect with his students. He teachers higher level math, so of course it's difficult, but I can't imagine it being taught any better. He helped for hours outside of class to get it down. A+
