Dr. Alama is the definition of what it means to be a great Math professor! He uses great humour in his lectures while giving crystal clear explanations on tough concepts. His notes are done in such good detail you will never touch the textbook unless you're doing practice problems. To succeed do all the practice problems and go to lecture.

He's a good prof. I wouldn't say amazing, but still pretty good. It's pretty easy to get at least a B in this course. If you want that A+ you better work for it. Assignments were very generously marked. Assignments require some extra thinking and are meant to PUSH you. Accept that push to improve otherwise you will get DRAGGED.

"Stan the man!" If he is teaching Real Analysis II, definitely take it. His lectures are very clear and the notes are thorough. His tests are extremely fair and graded kindly. If you're stuck on a concept make use of his office hours, he'll walk you through and elucidate everything!

Great prof, got an easy 12. I wish he was teaching my other math courses as well. His notes are soo descriptive (though tiring to write), that u dont have to use the textbook at all except to do homework problems. Make sure u take it with him, and also he has 2-3 grading schemes and u can easily get a 12 even if u mess up one of the tests.

This class was easy, and not pointless, if you think that, you just didn't understand the material and shouldn't be there. In one example he did, you have to solve your equation with the line y=x, and people were lost. That's sad, thats something you learn in highschool. Hes won the best prof award @Mac, and deserves to win it more times.

Dr. Alama is a very fair prof, If you don't think his class is fair, you are not trying or going to class. I found this class challenging, but he never gives you tests which you can't do. If you're having trouble GO TO HIS OFFICE HOURS, he wants you to do well. Don't blame him hes fair, for higher level classes they're abstract, and should be tough

I've read some of the comments and Dr. Alama is one of the best prof's ever. He honestly wants you to do well. His midterms/exams are completely fair, the course itself is a hard topic but he does an excellent job of teaching it you just have to put in the effort. DO THE PRACTICE WORK HE ASSIGNS!

Most over-rated prof ever. His exams were hard and unfair. I dont recommend this nuisance course MATH 3DC3 to anybody. You will just be wasting your time. The non-sense you learn in this course is not applicable to real life, and it is a really difficult course. The final exam was much harder then the tests. Alama is a boring prof. OVER-RATED PROF

Dr. Alama is an excellent professor. His lecture style is informal and friendly. Material is very well presented and is as clear as real analysis could possibly be made. Office hours are packed yet he continues to explain without the slightest hint of annoyance... very valuable course if you are serious about math.
