Midway thru class, here's wat I kno: Eakins wrote a very basic online book (CFO) w LOTs of Typos. USE OLD PDF book & practice questns on blackboard & view Pratti's Review Sessions FIRST - old, but detailed. THEN use CFO, & you'll make 100s on all CFO grades, but EXAMs are WAY harder. U NEED the 100s on CFO to offset exam scores. Thank God 4 CURVE!

I registered for a class with this guy, but apparently he's the Dean, and doesn't really do anything here. Class is taught by Prati, who tries really hard, but the ebook is HORRIBLE (short on explanation, FULL of EQUATIONS, tech-issues &errors), and he's clearly caught between a rock & a hard place. Gives a curve. TAKE IN THE CLASSROOM IF U CAN!!!

You have to teach yourself via online book. Take advantage of the extra attempts on quizzes and homework to build our grade. Learn the calculator - final is comprehensive would have enjoyed a centra session not from 2010 to review final exam.

DE course. Not sure why Eakins gets credit for teaching this class? You'll hear from him maybe twice all semester. He grades excel projects 1 & 3. Tough material, lots of graded work, very little teacher involvement. Would NOT recommend taking this course during the summer. It'd be way too stressful. Will avoid taking Prati again if I can.

I'm a mediocre math student and I eked out an A. Yes it requires a huge time investment, but that's what graduate courses do. Some fellow students were having technical problems with the Pearson site, but I didn't experience that. Use Firefox as your browser, make sure you have all the necessary plug-ins, and keep malware off your PC.

Eakins taught this class with Prati but to say they taught at all is a joke.Eakins created a program which is supposed to teach. The program is riddled with errors. Plan to invest 20+ hours per week at a min. It's doable but be prepared to be frustrated ALL SEMESTER LONG. Our entire class was complaining abt. the setup but it fell on deaf ears.

Dr. Eakin's quizzes and tests are very difficult. This is not because of the subject matter, but rather the very short time limit he sets. The workload is excessive with graded weekly homework followed by a very intensive quiz.

Online, group taught. All professors extremely helpful & make expectations extremely clear. Do all the HW & review all the online text book resources as well as references posted on Bb and you'll do fine. Finance can be a hard area of study, but the professors give you every chance to succeed, you only need to do the work.

Took the class online with Tibbs, Eakins and Prati. Overall good course, with a lot of work to do. The professors are very involved and their efforts don't go unnoticed. Listen to their advice and you should do well. Homework problems and quizzes due basically every week. Use the dotlearn supplements as much as possible.

This class is soooo tough!!! He knows alot about finance but his expectations for student who arnt finance majors are a little too high. New online quizzes are hard and all the bugs wernt worked out for our class yet. May be easier for the next year but I got the joy of being a test subject.
