Comment:
Freeman teaches in stories and examples which I personally benefited from. You can pass if you'll pay moderate attention in class, jot notes, and just memorize the vocab definitions. I never even read the text book chapters and did okay.

Avoid this professor at all costs. Tests are just guessing because there is information that we have never learned in class and that isn't in the book.... He has to curve it because everyone does so badly. His stories in class are amusing, but that's pretty much the only slightly positive thing about this course...

Freeman's lectures are completely worthless. You definitely have to read the textbook, but guess what...his exams contain material that is not in the book or he went over in his lectures. Very disappointing on how he "teaches" and writes his exams. Avoid this guy.

Literally does not teach at all. Tests are very difficult and you must read the book. Includes questions on test that aren't even in the book and he didn't cover in class. He made a rather comprehensive class very difficult and his class is very hard to sit through. If you can avoid him, do.

Sounds like forest gump which is really funny. Tells good examples during class. Going to need to read the book the test are basically from the test. Gives a lot of extra credit on a test! I liked him but I took him in the summer so he might be different in the fall but I would recommend!

Don't take him. Especially, not his summer course. Studying will only get you so far. After that, you pretty much have to be able to read his mind to make an A. It's not that the material was hard. He just MADE it complicated by cramming too much material in one month and throwing curve balls on the tests. Thanks to Freeman, I no longer have a 4.0.

Do not be fooled by the extra credit offering (court observation and write-up). After talking to about half the class, only found one person who received any extra credit for work turned in and that was less than one point. Not a trained teacher and it is blatantly obvious during class. If you learn anything, you will teach yourself.

Do not take this professor unless it's your only option. Does not teach--period. Tests are very tricky, especially since he doesn't teach the material. Offers 2 extra credits but you may not get any points from them. I did 2 EC papers, turned in on time, etc. and my grade did not reflect any help whatsoever! Not ONE point!

Frustrating experience at times. He rambles about all kinds of things during class--not necessarily related to the subject. Have to basically teach yourself. Tests may or may not have items you remember talking about or reading for class.

Sweetest little old man ever. He doesn't really lecture. On most days he'll ask if anyone has any questions. If not, he'll discuss what's important in the chapter for about 20 minutes and you're done. I recommend reading the chapters close to test day. 4 absences allowed, 4 exams include the NON-conprehensive final, about 3 chances for extra credit

I'm sure he is knowledgeable in the law, but he has no way to convey that to students. Rambles for entire, mandatory, class periods. Tests are nit-picky with a section of true/false questions that are normally t/f by a small word or phrase (Rest of tests are MC). I wouldn't recommend him to my worst friend, let alone an unsuspecting student.

Relatively easy. Very nice older man who is very experienced in law. Gave extra credit opportunities. I never looked @ the book until right before the tests. Tests can be sort of tricky but if you study aren't really that hard. Never gave hw & I disagree with those who say he gets mad if you ask questions; he gets mad if you ask STUPID ones.

Two headed dragon, don't let him fool you into thinking he will help because as soon as you ask your automatically become the idiot student who should bow to King Freeman. Class sucks, you basically read a text book longer than Moby ****, hope you like ridiculous tests too.

Attendance is checked always. No homework. No quiz. 4 tests with multiple choice and true/false. Extra credit opportunities. The book was useful. Teacher is a retired judge and lawyer. Kind older southern gentleman. I recommend this instructor.

I don't agree with all the other comments that Prof. Freeman is heartless and mean. He seems like a nice man. However, he didn't lecture in class. We were supposed to read the huge textbook and ask questions in class, which he used to tell stories from his lawyer days. I taught everything to myself from the book. I don't recommend him.

Stan was unable to communicate with students because he was too worried that someone might actually want to learn something, and when a student tried to question him or even seek advice, Stan could not come down from his thrown to assist any students. Effort and potential mean nothing to this professor, he is going to get mad at you no matter what
