I love love loved Dr. Hauer. He is seriously the kindest man and goes out of his way to make sure that his students are getting the most out of his class. The quizzes and tests are super easy as long as you make sure you're actually going to class and studying; he is a fairly easy grader as well. Definitely going to miss his class.

Dr. Hauer is quite honestly the best teacher I have ever had! He is so intelligent and absolutely loves teaching. I wish I could take him a million times! He gives quizzes every class so attendance is important!

Literally the most amazing person I've ever met. He is a genuine soul to experience, esp. on a college campus. He is incredibly intelligent and it is his only desire to share his knowledge and life experiences with you. Not only does he give quizzes, but you must show up or you will miss out on his amazing stories!

Hauer was one of my faves. Outstanding intellect paired with an infectious zeal & humanity. We were very lucky to be able to get him into the music dept to teach opera history, and it seemed he was very excited to share his love of this great art. Reading the comments of the English crowd, it would seem that maybe he went easy on us musicians.

Dr. Hauer pretty much knows everything, and that will be apparent. It's great because you can learn a lot from him-but it's bad at times because he can be intimidating! He expects a lot out of his students, but you can get a lot from him in return. You HAVE to keep up with the reading, or he'll know. Highly recommended, esp. for English majors.

Delightful! I felt like I was in over my head for about the first week but ended up excelling. He loves questions and encourages questions and will help you, but only if you ask. I learned so much and had such a good time.

Information-filled class. I was very intimidated, but later I got the courage to speak with him and he's really not mean or scary and was helpful. He smiles at me now, even though once he made me cry when he took me to his office and trashed my essay.
