Any area of math is difficult for me but Professor Max was hilarious and entertaining. He is willing to work with you if you are showing that you need the extra help and he will almost always bump you up one grade at the end of the semester with good reason. (B+ to an A-)Great teacher, I recommend him to anyone taking a math course.

Prof. Max is a nice person and the class is soo much easier than with prof. Mofitt. I got a B although math isn't my strong point. Attend class,do online hw, study the review questions for test, which is multiple choice, and you should be all set.

This teacher tries to be helpful, but I found his lectures very hard to follow. Taught myself the material using the test book. Homework is online, and test's are multiple choice. Overall if your not great at math, I wouldn't suggest taking a math class with him.

Entertaining guy... kept us laughing a lot. Tests and quizzes are extremely easy if you keep up with the textbook. He is very fair but doesn't accept anything late. I would recommend this class, not an overwhelming amount of work.

He's a little out there, but he honestly cares about students success and hes genuinly a nice guy...if you don't understand things then he will dedicate the time until you do. I would recommend him.

Mr.Max is a great professor. He cares about his students and he cares whether you are actually learning or not. We had a lot of immature people in our class who talked and giggled. While this was unfair to him and the rest of us, Mr. Max handled these students politely and had more patience with them then I would have!

Stats with Mr. Max is a great class. This guy is a fantastic teacher and knows how to relay concepts of math to students. He's a bit eccentric but he cares, and takes the time to teach in a way that is understandable. He's very reasonable. I've never done well in a math class until now thanks to him, i highly recommend taking his class!

When I saw him for the first time I was terrified. He is a bit eccentric, but his classes are very easy. He spends a lot of time on covering the simpliest tasks as if we were 9-graders, but even important stuff seems to be easy. he really wants everybody to do well in class - he drops 3 lowest grades!!!

He cracks me up! If you listen to his voice he sounds like Sean Connery but without the accent. He breaks up the concepts into easy to digest pieces. Will explain anything you need more help on. Just make sure you do your homework and don't be late for class or else he gets aggitated.

Took his class 2 yrs ago after seeing good ratings on here. I'm still happy with the class. Mr. Max is quirky and committed to helping students. A lot of people in my class gave him a hard time, but I thought he was a really nice prof. May have been a bit too easy at times; he gave everyone a copy of the final to study off of, but I learned stats.

I LOVE this guy!!! He is the sweetest man, and really does seem to care that we understand what he is teaching us. Yeah, he's kinda wacky sometimes but that's what makes his class interesting. I am a math idiot and so far have an A average because he is taking the time to TEACH.

The work load in this class is heavy but not overwhelming as long as you keep up with it. Most of the exam questions are taken from previous semester exams (which he gives to you for practice) so they're pretty easy. Quizzes and homework count as a test grade so it pays to do well on them. Not a bad guy but sometimes tries too hard.

He was a very hard grader on exams, hw, and attendance. Classes were extremely boring and hard to follow. He would make loud comments about my inability to learn stats in front of the entire class and generally made everyone miserable. Also had a creepy way of staring at certain girls...
