If I could take her class 100 more times I would. She is the best teacher I've ever had at Mesa. No tests no quizzes, no homework. She is such an inspiring person and she just has such a peaceful vibe to her. She asks what grade you deserved, I said a B because I always ate in class (lol) and was late a few times. She gave me an A. She's the best!

The best teacher i've ever had at Mesa. Probably one of the easiest teachers. As long as you respect her class rules, and pay attention in class, you're guaranteed an A. She's inspirational, she's kind towards all her students. I would definitely take her class again if I could.

The course would have been more useful if she stuck to the course material she was more about self help than communications. She would tell us about conspiracy theory as if it were fact. I don't think black history or feminism helps in the expanding of society if the focus is on self pity and mistrust.

Ms. Lewis is such a chiller! I was BAKED every day in that class and still got an A. One of the classes I took with her, we went up in front on the last day and told her what grade we thought we deserved, and she gave us whatever we said!

I can honestly say she was one of the greatest teachers I've ever had. Really puts things into perspective and opens the mind of her students. I, as many others in the class, was not expecting it to be communications from a black perspective, but it turned out to be a great mind-opening surprise. I would highly recommend this teacher for any class!

Prof Lewis is AMAZING! She is inspiring, motivating & cares about her students. Everyone needs to take this class. This class has changed my life and has made me a truth seeker :) 1 take home midterm, 2 oral presentations. You need the book to do the midterm but u can use her book during office hours or go to the library. She gives fun extra credit

She teaches oral communication with a black perspective. I advice everyone who has is afraid to take this class to do it! She will change your life. Have you ever searched for a teacher that opens the world for you? her teaching style is "higher education." Unlike boring teachers reading from a book, Mrs. Lewis bring a new world to teaching. I wish i had met her years ago.

Her class is relatively straight-forward and easy. If you do all the work it is an A. However, in terms of history, she a is a historical revisionist who often makes wild claims like the Europeans stole all of their inventions from Africa and that the Jews were originally black. Also if you are religious this class might be offensive.

This is the BEST class i have ever taken! She is soooo inspiring I LOOKED FORWARD TO GOING TO CLASS! She doesn't believe in tests so doesn't give any. As long as you show up to class you pass. She is so interesting you WANT to listen! The most loving and kind person who truely cares about her students and tells them she loves them :)

Although Lewis may appear inspiring to many, she does not follow through with her own advice. She was absent of late to many classes with demanding perfect attendance from the class. The assignments were ambiguous and the dues date even more so. Most of the class agrees with her so if you try to present an alternate perspective she will interrupt.

Ms. Lewis is the best teacher that I have had so far at Mesa College. She is wise, intelligent and cares about YOU! She is the most loving teacher I have ever met. Her class is not hard but you learn A LOT about yourself and how to give a speech. Easy A if you do the work. I HIGHLY reccommend her. TAKE HER CLASS!!!! you won't regret it.
