He's a nice guy who's fairly lenient and reasonable to deal with. He doesn't condescend but treats you like an actual peer. Unfortunately, his writing assignments suck and I loathe his emphasis on peer editing. In short: great guy, but you'll hate his class.

Honestly, Tom is not a very good professor. He lacks the ability to teach. Rather, he relies on the students to debate senseless topics. The topics are so seemingly senseless the students dont debate. We sit ther in silence. But he is nice, and easy. Also, he knows the subject well.

This class is very simple if you try. Tom helps you through any problem you may have, and is very lenient when it comes to giving opportunities to improve your work. He makes things very easy to understand, and gets his point across without sounding strict

Tom is a great guy who gets right to the point of what you need to know. Tests aren't hard and neither is the material covered. Show up to class and turn in your work and you'll breeze through. Great Class.

Tom is very helpful and interested in the students writing. I missed many classes and he still let me pass due to the effort I out worth in each assignment. If you miss class due to real probs but put forth the work and talk to him about it you will pass.

Mr. Irish asked everyone to call him by his first name, yet I'm still uncomfortable with that. Anyway, the class is not bad, although it is often boring and tedious--as is all of English. Students get an opportunity to rewrite papers if they do badly.
