A wonderful teacher, she always cares about the students and whether they are learning or not. If some students are not understanding something she will write it on the board for the whole class to understand better.

Only take this Moreno if you like to feel stupid, because while she encourages you to talk and make mistakes, shell be the first to embarass you when you do. Constantly changing due dates, class has no structure.

She has good intentions but she sucks. She will interrupt you if you try to speak in class and its the wrong answer... really discouraging in a spanish class when you don't feel confident in your speaking abilities as is. I love spanish and was ready to quit after having her hurt my confidence enough times.

My description of how I feel about Profesora Moreno would be: "ehhhhhh?" I think she has good intentions but gets frustrated easily when the class doesn't come prepared. Her teaching style is a little hard to follow, and she changes due dates/assignments/test dates a LOT. I'm going to take her again but she's definitely not my favorite.

Professora Moreno is a technologically illiterate yet very nice woman, doesn't really understand how a different approach might help more students learn. She definitely knows a great deal about culture.

Profesora Moreno wants to see students trying to learn Spanish. She can tell when students are not trying and doesn't put up with it well. She also expects respect from her students and doesn't tolerate it when they don't which can be frustrating for those who don't care about Spanish or learning.

I took an intensive course with Professor Moreno, so my review probably differs for that reason. Sometimes she could be confusing and vague, so getting that one on one time was very helpful. She's fluent in Spanish and is very interesting overall. I really recommend trying to meet with her outside of class or creating a group study time with her.

Disorganized and gives different explanations to different students. When I took this class the students had a email chain going the entire time about how horrible she was. Posted assignments with different due dates, one or two tests had been posted only 24 hours before they were do. If I didn't randomly log in I would have missed it.

Very unorganized, goes out of her wait to make you feel stupid. I need her for my minor, but trust me I'm seriously considering changing my minor. Find another professor PLEASE! Save yourself the heartache!!

By far the worst prof @ CWU. Changed assignments/due dates often without telling class, responded to emails days later. Class was confused and angry the entire quarter. Multiple tests where the "correct" answers were wrong and it took days of arguing just for her to change them to what they should be. Only take if you have to & prepare for hell. :(

I really enjoyed having professor Moreno. She expects students to come to class prepared and ready to work. Expect to put lots of effort in if you want an A, but it's not impossible. She was a really interesting person to talk to. I would take her again if I got the chance.

She is a very tough grader, you will always get caught for doing something wrong. You must do the reading to do well on the tests. The midterm dropped my grade by 10%. She is confusing and doesn't help much. If you want an A DO NOT take this class. Tons of assignments and quizzes. Hard class for a gen ed

Moreno is the reason I dropped Spanish as a minor. She went out of her way to embarrass me and others in class, and consistently belittled me in front of the class. I had a meeting with her in the hopes things would change, but she continued her inconsiderate and perplexing behavior regardless. She is mean-spirited and extremely unpleasant.

a senior(BA)and taking her level 102 class should've been easy. SHE IS THE WORST TEACHER I EVER HAD! Unorganized, forgetful, and has the nerve to be a hard grader when she deserves an F- for her demonstration as a teacher. She should be ashamed to be a teacher. They should take her teaching certificate back and refund her a box of cracker jacks.

Difficult grader! No clarity, no communication, no nothing from her! I do NOT recommend taking any of her classes!! More than half of our class was lost and confused the whole quarter. She kept changing due dates on every assignment! She has made my blood pressure, anxiety, and stress levels rise!!

NEVER, I repeat NEVER, take Moreno; unless of course you want to be ridiculed, yelled at, and discredited. She blankly states that she will not give any student an A because no one is perfect. If you care about your GPA, don't ruin it with any of her classes. Because trust me, she will.

Comment:

Stella Moreno is one of the most difficult teachers I've had. She gets frustrated and yells at students when they answer questions wrong or do not understand a concept. She doesn't make assignments and tests/quizzes clear, and she grades tough. She is very discouraging. I would avoid taking her class if possible.
