The first half of the course was deadly, but Levesque warmed up after the Xmas break and the class became very practical. Dry sense of humour, but plays favourites.

Levesque is a very funny, very dry kind of guy. He is wise and insightful, but you have to prod him there. He gives excellent examples and takes time to answer your questions. If you read him the wrong way, he could seem ornery, but he's really a cool, intelligent guy. Plus, his accent is cool to listen to, but hard to decipher what "devil up"

This class represents all that is wrong with Althouse. The dude has never taught in a high school, yet he is teaching us how to be a high school teacher. Any applied level class would have him running in five minutes. Frankly, we need to demand better. This course is a waste of time and money! Levesques does not know anything about pedagogy

With all due respect, Levesque is not paid his good salary to be kind or have his heart in the right place - he is paid to teach us to be history teachers (also paid to research). Sadly, he earns very little of his teaching salary, since he doesn't know what he is doing. If you turn off every single student of yours, you're doing something wrong!

His course was not all that bad. Frankly, while at Althouse I did not learn a lot of PRACTICAL on Campus in ANY of my courses, so why are these peopel complaining so much about Levesque? He is a very kind, intelligent person whose heart is in the right place.

I understand why the other students felt negatively about Dr. Levesque...he is out of touch with the classrooms in high school. However, you will learn a lot of methods and ideas about teaching in this class. It's not all terrible!
