I SUCK at chemistry and science overall but this class was pretty easy. You basically play do all these episodes through "second life" which is basically like Sims. You complete post labs and prelab quizzes and read lectures. Just study everything in the lectures and you should be fine. Didn't really care for the professor.

She has done a lot to revamp the labs, but they are a ridiculous amount of work for a lab. I dreaded going to lab each week. The chemistry help room is pointless since no one can actually help you and Dr. Dillion is always busy. If you are in Chem 2, no one will help you since they expect you to know how to do everything from chem 1.

I love Dr. Dillon. She is very organized and on top of things. There are many rumors about her but she was always open to helping me and explaining things to me as well. She is the director of all chem lab and she made it very manageable. She was always nice to me and helped me with everything. Dont be scared to go to her office and talk/email her.

Dr. Dillon is not as impossible as everyone says. Once you understand the routine of her class, it'll be clear what you need to do to pass. The grading criteria is explicitly clear. She may not be the most approachable professor, but what every student needs to remember is that her goal is to teach. She just has her own methods.

Dr. Dillon gives a lot of work but she's a very fair person. Respect her and show her you wanna work hard, and she respects you. She just wants us to be ready for the toughness of industry and her workload prepared me for the rest of college. You can learn a lot from talking to her in office hours!

Dillon does not grade your work, so you better hope you have a good TA. The assignments are huge amounts of work for a 1 credit hour class. The hep room sucks because TAs do not have a rubric or scale on how to grade from her so they do not know what they are doing and all grade way differently. No clear instructions for final lab report.

Your TA will run the entire thing, and they do all of the grading as well. My TA Joseph was the best, and I'm writing this review because I had a positive experience in this class because of him. Dr. Dillon gave everyone who visited her office hours an extra 2 points added to their grade, which is the reason I made it out with an A. It's do able.

Was in office hours with a group of students bc we were all confused on an assignment and she came in and yelled at us for being there at HER scheduled office hours. Post lab quizzes are not well written and will confuse the heck out of you but the class is definitely doable, it just requires a lot of work. Just try and get a good TA.

I know everyone complains about lab, but the lab isn't that bad. The labs were a lot better than 1045 labs and if you go to the help room/go to her office hours and don't act entitled and that she owes you an A then it's an easy A. At first I hated the excels but overall it helped out SO much and is a good skill to have.

The lab was poorly organized and extremely inefficient. The expectations were almost never communicated to the students. The TAs seemed scared of her. I would go to her office hours and she would tell me I was doing something right and then would change her mind and have TAs grade super harshly. Too much unnecessary busy work for a 1 credit class.

This class was perfect for people looking for a "non-major" science. The lectures can get long and they are not the most interesting. The labs were super easy. The tests were a bit difficult to study for because anything from the lectures are fair game. But she does drop your lowest exam grade!

GO TO THE CHEM HELP ROOM! Peers will help you with excel spreadsheets and prelabs. Get ready to read aggressive emails from Dr Dillion. It all depends on your TA. Also never be late to lab, TAs lock the door 4 mins after the class begins.

TA's were not consistent with their grading and gave 0 to several assignments that were not done the way they felt like it should be. Dillon helped at the beginning of the year until one day she decided that she was not going to help the students anymore. The final is impossible and no one passes that crap with more than a 60. DO NOT TAKE ;)

I have never had to do so much work for a one credit class. There were so many requirements and nothing was ever explained to us. That being said, the standard at which our work is held is very high. You are basically on your own the whole time.

The absolute worst. Lack of communication and no instruction yet there extremely high standards. If you're stuck with a strict TA, good luck with your grades. It is never clear what is expected of the students. Everything simple is made overly complicated. You go into every assignment completely blind sighted. Avoid at all costs.

Gen chem courses are pretty much just used to weed out non-committed students and Dr. Dillon is no exception. Grading is done by the TA's, some of who are easy and some who aren't. Feels like there are absolutely no guidelines for the class and yet she wants everything you turn in to be VERY specific. Incredibly condescending in office hours. Avoid

Worst professor I have ever seen or had. She's rude and condescending when you ask her for help during office hours. When you do poorly on an assignment she asks why you didn't come see her even though she doesn't help at all. Be ready to do all your assignments without any clear instructions and grading that has so standard behind it. Do not take.

This class had an insane amount of work, especially for a lab (worth 1 credit). This was my most time-consuming and difficult class this semester. She is not much help in office hours, and the TAs in the help room are clueless. Not to mention, each TA grades assignments differently. Overall, very confusing, unclear guidelines, and time-consuming.

Was told to take this class because it's an "easy A" since its a non major class, she asks the most random things on her test and it makes it difficult to do well since you have absolutely no idea what to study. Even if you memorize the lectures the test are impossible due to poor wording of the question and answers.
