If you have to take intro to theatre find another prof!!! Prof French is one of the most disorganized professors I have ever had. She makes you read a few plays but then tests you on random bs she said or showed in class one time! Her class is terribly boring and she often goes off topic pushing her feminine agenda on everyone.

Not the best professor. Gives an attitude if you ask questions about something that was unclear in the lecture. All lectures are powerpoints and are posted online. Exams are easy as long as you look over the lectures the night before the exam. Passed every exam with an A. Lots of extra credit. Very disorganized. Would not take again.

Professor French is...let's say, "interesting." The syllabus should have a giant "subject to change" disclaimer, and she can be quite scatterbrained. This all comes with a department like theatre, so you shouldn't be too surprised. That said, she is a nice and caring instructor that wants to see actors improve. You just might.

Had her for Intro to Theater. I can tell that she is very passionate about theater, but she was not very understanding about absences and jumped around between subjects. She had us buy 4 books but only used 1 which annoyed me b/c I paid for them myself. Her final project is awful if you don't like acting or group projects.

She is pretty easy but gives you a lot fo busy work. Also, the final project does suck, expecially because it takes so much time. For an intro Gen. Ed. class, it sure was a lot of work. Take it w/ another Professor I'm sure it won't be as bad as w/ French. It's just too much work for an Intro. class! But she is a very nice and caring lady...

She's a nice lady, but I don't like the class. If you want to get an 'A,' be prepared to raise your hand and volunteer a lot because she usually only gives A's to the students who do that. The majority of the work isn't that bad, but the final project stinks..I'd rather write a paper. She's a great professor, but the class doesn't interest me.

She's a sweet lady. Is understanding to those students who are shy and show trepidation about speaking up in class. I'm not really interested in this class, but she makes it bearable. She also offers opportunities for extra credit..So if you mess up on a few assignments, go see a Broadway production and write a paper on it. Very understanding.

A wonderful person.. For all you that say she is nto approachable, you are dead wrong. Cares alot about her students and fights for us in every sense of the word. Although sometimes can be unclear, and eccentric and crazy, but still is one of the best professors at ESU.

although she is eccentric, that is what makes her interesting. she expects a lot of her students, which is misunderstand for too much work...her classes do cosume a lot of your time, but it is not a hard class to get an A in if you do the work.
