I absolutely loved the class material. Sellers is an amazing women and professor. She really cares about her students, but she is a tough grader and can be harsh at times. However, she does this so you can become a better writer and scholar.

I thought that the content of this class was particularly interesting, but if you want a teacher who respects your opinion and values your learning style as a student, she is not for you. Was extremely rude to me all year and cuts no slack for missed or late work. I hated having her as a teacher.

She is a nice person, and I loved the topic. IMPORTNAT If you are taking this for a simple course to fulfill Gettysburg requirement. DO NOT TAKE. It is about as much work as a high 200-300 level class, 1 hour videos for each lecture, and plenty of reading. She is a tough grader, and unless you are willing to go to her for papers prepare to hurt.

Amazing professor, one of my favorites I've had at this school. Very helpful if you have any questions. She is extremely passionate about what she's teaching, which in turn gets her students involved and interested in the subject as well.

Sellers is an INCREDIBLE teacher, really cares about her students and wants to open their minds. I've taken WGS 214 as well as an independent study with her, and I have learned more in her class than any other class at Gburg. I highly recommend taking her class. You will enjoy this class if you have an open mind.

IDS206/WGS214 focus on reading, discussion & papers, so as a humanities person, I didn't find it too challenging. I did find it really interesting and fun, though. She just really wants you to understand stuff from the native american perspective, their oppression and struggle. If you disagree, don't take it, because she will not tolerate bigotry.

I enjoyed her in class so much. The material was new, interesting, and actually helped me decide to major in WGS. I recommend the course! Her only caveat is that she can be a bit harsh at times, but that was never a huge problem for me.

She is an alright teacher. I am a Christian and had difficulty in her class because she kept arguing how patriarchal institutions are oppressive. She also shared some interesting readings about women's bodily functions and mystical female deities. Advice: Write what she wants to hear and say what she wants you to say. Then you should be fine. =)
