Comment:
Knows his stuff and expects you to know it as well. However, he does acknowledge improvement over the course of the class. If you don't do so hot on the first test, don't worry, normally your test grades improve. Pay attention in lecture and write down every last thing; he asks for tiny details on tests. Quizzes aren't terrible. Lab was fun.

Terrible teacher! He lectures every single class period and the information is never on the tests. Extremely hard to talk to during and after class and makes rude remarks if he doesn't like what you do for an assignment (example, news article summary). Dr. Puffenbarger is a much better professor for BIO 110! I warned you!

Took him for 110 and 325. He gives you study guides before exams but the exams are pretty hard. The lab quizzes are difficult. I love him as a person but he just make things so hard as a professor. The final is not cumulative which is good & he does small extra credit every week on moodle where you submit any questions you had on last week stuff.

I had Dr. Baron for lecture, and loved it. Baron is a very student-centered (not student controlled) professor. He does a lot of illustrations and activities to reinforce concepts; some are a little cheesy, but they help. Lectures are easy to follow, and he scheduled review sessions before every test. Take good, organized notes and you'll do fine.

I had Professor Baron for Bio 110 lab and it was a good class. He made it very clear on what he wanted out of his students, but he was still very willing to help and answer questions. Not sure how he is in lecture, but not bad for a lab choice.

Dr. Baron gives quizzes every Monday and he does mostly lectures and sometimes activities in the classroom. The lectures are heavy and make sure you go to his classes. He gives out study guides for each test. The class can be hard but he gives extra credit through the semester too! I think he is still great and he has a good sense of humor!

Dr. Baron is a goofy guy who makes cheesy jokes. His entire class is lecture based, which to some degree is nice if you are a good note-taker. Tests are relatively hard, you have to study the study guide as some answers are fill in the blank and essay. Just pay attention in class and youll be okay!

Took him for Molecular. Don't bother taking notes in class rather bring his notes posted on moodle and refer to them while he is doing a lecture. His study guide for tests are ok but he doesn't include questions that come from lab and doesn't tell u which lab is going to be on the test. But he is a good grader and will bump ur points

I had him for PDP and BIO 100 Lab. He's a great guy and really connects with students. He's sometimes monotone but makes up for it with reasonable class load and work. Easy to get along with, cracks jokes and doesn't mind giving extra help.

The material is very hard, but his lectures can be quite helpful. Sometimes they are boring, especially when they are powerpoints. His best lectures are when he writes on the blackboard. Study guides are the bomb, know the study guide and you def. get a good grade on the tests. Only thing I hated about the class was the research paper.
