Comment:

This is the worst professor I have had in my life. After you read hundreds of pages about historical events you do not apply what you have learned. He only wants students to interpret documents and passages from thousands of years ago. We all look at things differently so it is almost impossible to get a good grade unless you can read his mind.

Comment:

I initially signed up for this course just needing a spot filler to meet my quota for financial aid. I ended up gaining an interest in history and a lot of knowledge to go with it. Professor Bosworth offered answers and help every time that I asked. I sent messages anytime that I had a question and he was very considerate and helpful.

Comment:

There were 3 timed exams in a 8 week period which counted for 75 percent of the grade and included 6 short answer questions (out of 12) and 1 essay question (out of 2). Grading was very harsh (to the point that one of my short answer questions was docked points for being too long) and he was not clear on what to include in the answers.

This teacher was very essay heavy on the test over the section which the essay would take time to find. He focused a lot on art pieces than he actual history it was like we was taking an art class.

I think he is rated poorly because people are lazy. He gives you all the answers for the exams, it is up to you to put in the work and prepare for all the exams. While it is a lot of work, I am more than willing to put in the work to prepare all my answers so I just need to copy and paste into the exam. He gives you a very clear guideline.

he assigns A LOT of essays for homework, and he is a very hard grader, he takes away points for every little mistake. i wouldnt recommend him for any students.

This professor needs to be reminded he is teaching history, not English. He does not care about the success of students, or their efforts. Took same class with a different professor and received an easy A, while learning History, not grammar lessons. Do not take a class with this professor!

I would never recommend this professor to any student. The professor expects unrealistic expectations for an undergrad course. He is anal about essay requirements and argumentative in his comments.. Stay clear at all costs!

I took his online class. He grades your papers and doesn't give any feedback as to what you did wrong so you don't really learn from your mistakes. He does give you a pool of questions that the exam will be on so that was moderately helpful except you don't know what is acceptable without feedback.

Mr. Stephen Bosworth was a very good instructor. He graded all homework and test in a fashionable manner. Although he is a very tough picky grader if you do the work correctly he will grade it fairly. Overall a good instructor i will be taking more of his classes.

I took online History 1301 with this professor and he requires a TON of work. There are plenty of essays, which you have to memorize for the exams, plus tons of other information that you have to memorize for the exam. He was a hard professor but I made an A+ in this class and would take it again with Bosworth. This class is not for the lazy people
