Comment:
Can't clearly explain his lectures at a basic level. He talks like he's speaking to a colleague rather than a student. Awful teacher, but a nice guy to speak to.

Comment:
His teaching is too theoretical and he doesn't provide real example problems so I had to teach myself. He does not require homework so there is less motivation to do the assigned problems. He gives 2 exams and one final, and all the tests are long. Other than that, he is a nice guy and some find his class easy. Just do the homework.

Comment:
Very clear teacher. You'll learn things the 'right' way in his class. Tests are based on review sheets, which are posted a week before the test, so an 'A' is not hard to get. -- Class has a comfortable pace, though he sometimes rushes through confusing stuff while moving slowly through easy stuff. One of the best math teachers at S&T... no kidding.

Take Clark's section for Diff EQ. You won't be sorry. He is the clearest math professor I've had so far, and is extremely helpful. Tests are straightforward and are similar to old exams. Stay awake in class and keep up with notes. Also, I found that reading the chapters in the book after (and sometimes before) lectures will really help you.

Always prepared, clear, concise, and consistent; a good teacher all around. His class is certainly not trivial, though, and he doesn't go easy on students in tests, quizzes, or the final. Beware the grading scale: Two tests, a final, and some quizzes are all you get.

Class is extremely easy but also extremely boring. His handwriting can get bad sometimes. He gives easy tests, and also offers review sessions before the tests. Not a difficult class to get an A in.

Good class and nice guy. Lectures were good, but he kept getting too close to the board and getting chalk on his crotch. Then he would lean back against the board and get it on his rear. This happened regularly. It was pretty funny, but distracting.

Not a pushover math course, not a pushover professor. Even if you've never taken notes for a math course, take them for this one with this prof. Good notes + good prof = A with just a little effort. Better than the alternative (Insall).

He reminds me of a very happy cricket (he's thin and he bounces). He loves what he teaches and makes Calc II actually entertaining! Some of us would also like to thank him for subtitling his lectures.
