Comment:
This class is very difficult in general, but Dr. Lilley lectures in a way that is difficult to understand. He highlights key notes in the syllabus but you need to take additional notes during class, which is hard to do when he talks as if you're a sociologist and should understand everything . He tries to dumb it down sometimes but he's too smart.

This class is more economics based than sociology based which is not what I expected, as my major is in the social sciences. There are essays every week but they are not hard at all, four research assignments and four tests. For the tests you need to make sure you read the textbook and study as much of his material as you can.

Took him last semester. Not a good teacher, makes you study 60 terms and only puts 25 of them on the test. This is not the way sociology should be taught. Waste of time if you ask me. However, the essays were a snap.

Prof. Lilley is the best sociology professor I have ever taken! Although there is a lot of essays (2 a week) they are very do able and there are only 4 test and they are all multiple choice! He really knows a lot about sociology and is always willing to meet with students if they need help. I highly recommend taking him!!

Pretty boring class, but all the notes are online so you can just look at them before a test. No quizzes, there are in class assignments but they're easy. It is a really easy class and he gives you an option to do extra credit. Easy A or B

Really nice guy. tests are 25 questions multiple choice and there are four for the course.there easy enough tests where you should get at least a C. homework due once a week and isnt that bad. His classes are boring and nobody pays attention. Offers over 10 extra credit points a semester which is pretty easy to get to raise ur grade. Easy A class.

Lilley-pad is one of the easiest teachers at shu. you get to sit on your computer and do nothing each class. His tests sometimes include stuff he doesnt go over but he gives you a study guide. Homework is minimal and is pointless. hes a nice guy and gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit

Computers in class are a plus. Easy multiple choice tests and 1 to 2 page homework assignments every other week or so. It does seem like busy work most of the time but those are the things that show up on the test. Minimal amounts of work = good grade.
