Steve is a really nice guy. He can come off very strong and aggressive at first. Remain curious, ask questions and do your work and you're golden. He's one of the nicest and genuine guys I've met at Newhouse.

Most classes were group discussing not lecturing. Professor didn't give much help. I won't take his class again.

Cool class and helpful professor. When you're stuck with something, he's more than willing to steer you in the right direction. If you impress him with something, he may even take you out for lunch.

Prof. Masiclat breaks down complex processes into finite, practical steps. He will teach you new approaches to solve problems in new media or any other operational issues you may have. Don't let his intense routine scare you: For his class you just have to sit down, listen and he will inspire you to get to work.

He was the only prof I had who encouraged us to take chances and not worry about the response. He helped me understand the importance of self-fulfillment in design rather than catering to a teacher for a grade.

Masiclat was extremely willing to help, even with out of class projects. He treated his students like colleagues, not inferiors. The best professor I had in Newhouse and all of college.

This Professor knows his stuff and is far underappreciated. Yes, he's hot in a marine-i-can-kick-your-butt kinda way but more importantly he makes you feel intelligent and important. Show up and he'll teach you-don't show up and you lose the respect of a professor that would have taken the time to believe in you.

I'm an alum going on memory here (I had him the first year he taught), but he stands out in my mind. I'm a writer, first and foremost, and have always felt inadequate when around "graphics" people. Not in his class though. He was great and I lea
