Nice lady but hard class. She has a thick accent that is very hard to understand at times which is really annoying because of the difficulty of the material. The tests that she gives are hard because the answers have to be exactly how she likes it. You have to participate in class because that can help boost whatever grade you have at the moment.

She has bad hand writing and has an accent which is pretty hard to understand but if you study it's not too bad. I didn't really read the stuff so it was kind of hard to study but overall the class was fine

Unna will mark a correct answer completely wrong because she doesn't like the way you worded it. She is the toughest grader I've ever seen and doesn't care about the grades of her students. She makes participation worth 30% of your grade and doesn't mark you down as participating unless you participate like 10+ times. Take any other professor!

This is by far the worst class I have ever taken. Professor Unna grades way too harshly. You can write in your own words exactly what she said in class, yet still get half credit and a really bad grade on a test. Participation is 30 percent of your grade making class very annoying and dreadful. Also, her handwriting is horrible!!

Very wonderful person, but expects a bit too much from her students. Homework assignments are short, but daily, and exams are all short-answer, which makes it very difficult as she doesn't give you credit unless you write exactly what she wants.

She is very critical on little details from the reading and you have to do the daily hw to pass. You're expected to know who came up with what theory and be able to write them out. Must read and participate regularly or you won't do well. You 100% need the book and taking notes is hard because of her accent and messy handwriting. Very hard

Dr. Unna was so passionate about ethics. This was my favorite class this semester! As long as you take notes during class, you will do good on the exams. There are 3 exams and 1 quiz, which she lets you correct for extra credit. She also provides other easy extra credit. She genuinely wants her students to do well. Great choice for a professor!

She has a very thick accent and very bad handwriting so sometimes it is hard to understand what she is saying or writing on the board. She wants you to write what she wants word for word on quizzes and tests (and you only have 3 tests, a quiz to be graded on). You have homework due every class, and she wants you to participate, stressful class

She was a really tough grader and kind of intimidating. There was so much reading and not all of them online. There was homework every night and its a big part of your grade. Class participation is a must, but its still not enough. The topics were boring and she didn't explain clearly.

You definitely have to put effort into this class to do well. The work isn't overwhelming but I was expecting it to be easier. She knit picks but if you pay attention and take notes in class you'll do swimmingly on the quizzes/exams. The extra credit helped a lot cause I wasn't expecting the grade I received. Do the homework and participate!!!

I took this class and received a B-. She has a thick accent and her hand writing is awful, making her notes in class basically useless. If you are taking an Ethics course because you have to, don't take Unna. Also she is SO tough on grading. There are other professors that are a lot easier and require a lot less work and grade a lot easier.

Pretty good overall. She lectures the entire time, and expects you to participate (homework due once a week--short assignments, adding your input counts towards participation grade). She has a German accent but it's fairly easy to understand. Somewhat humorous at times. Lets you correct quizzes and essays for a (+) on your grade, extra credit avail

Her accent is thick and her handwriting is sloppy, but if you ask her a question, she will answer it or use it to lead on the discussion. Participation is a must, homework is checked for anything relevant written down. Lots of readings, and follows syllabus exactly. Grading is occasionally iffy. Overall nice.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR FOR CORE!!!!!!!! If you love philosophy, she is the professor for you. However, she required 15-30pg readings every class w/ assignment, advised me to quit my job to handle her course load, and is a very difficult grader. She is the reason I did not make deans list this semester.

If you love philosophy, don't worry about negative ratings. If you are only taking this class for credits (me), then beware. She's very difficult to understand because of the sloppy handwriting/thick accent combo. Homework's not too bad if you stay on top of it but you can easily bs everything without actually understanding. also. class participati

Dr. Unna was a good professor for an intro class, lots of work tho. She tries her best to help which is a plus and her tests are pretty straight forward. But if you have little or no interest in the subject don't take her it was at times difficult to take notes and only a few times was anything realitively interesting. Good teacher overall tho.
