Yes the textbooks may be difficult to comprehend for many, but if your serious about school and interested in getting something out of it, this guy is very intelligent and can help open up your mind...do not take if him if you are lazy and slack off, but if you just show up pay attention and do the reading assignments, class is cake..TAKE NOTES

He is alright. The lecture notes are really annoying. He is a hard grader. Loves the debates and arguments in class. The textbook is hard to understand. The tests are a lot more in depth then what he actually teaches in class. Make sure you do all the readings. Use your absences wisely.

Awesome teacher, he did an excellent job teaching the class. There was not single detail in the text or lecture that was unclear, I could practically recite the lectures which really helps when it comes to writing up lecture notes. The work load was not heavy, no more than 6 assignments. By far best class I've taken at Suffolk, highly recommend!

I don't know how you can't learn something from this wonderful professor. He is a genuine person who likes to chat about topics or questions out of the classroom. I had no knowledge in Philosophy prior to this professor. Now it's my secret interest. There is work but it is rewarding. Just do the assignments, take notes, open your mind, and have fun

he is really disorganized. i sent him 2 assignments through e-mail which he ended up losing. i have no idea how that is possible but whatever. he likes the students to do a lot of the talking in the class he likes the arguments to pursue that way. i'm sure he is easy to some people but to me he was dry and uninteresting.

I participated in every class, and shared my opinion honestly throughout. DON'T DO IT. He will shut you down if you oppose his ideas, and purposely makes you feel like you are wrong. If you don't make a conscious effort to follow his thought process, you won't do well. He's very unclear and confusing. Just don't.

These ratings aren't fair. He is the nicest, most INTELLIGENT person you want to know. Disorganized, yes, but it doesn't affect you! Do the readings. Participate. For crying out loud, you bring a page of notes to tests! It's PHL, so expect it to be tough. Be adults, challenge your MINDS. A's aren't given, you EARN THEM. The world owes you nothing!

Online class... not helpful at all, absent from discussions, had no idea if I was on the right path or not until after he graded papers, expects everyone to be philosophers and understand everything. Also expected a lot for an online class. dont take him if you dont have to.

He was extremly disorganized and not prepared for class at all. His assignments all have to be handed in online and they werre very unclear. He constantly changes his mind or forgets what he says in class and the syllabus is a joke. Save youself the d or f and dont take the class!

He is very unorganized and not helpful at all. His lessons aren't that bad and he does a good job at clearing up the readings but he belittles students and makes them feel terrible for not being philosophers. he is misleading. don't expect him to give you a heads up on any due dates. He is only nice to 1 or 2 students in the class. DO NOT TAKE HIM!

I got a 100 on the first test. Then I got a 78. Then I got an 80. I emailed him the final and I think I did well, but for whatever reason the man thought I deserved an F. Thank you for a waste of my time. I was there every day except for 2 classes. You wasted my time. I really hate you.

Best professor I've ever had. Took him for 3 different courses and if he taught other classes that I needed I would definitely take him again. Keep up with the readings and ask as many questions as you want, because he will spend as much time needed for you to understand. Highly recommended, especially for entry level Philosophy students!

I took his online course. He took forever to answer questions posted by the students. He also was not very clear on what he expected on the assigned essays. I would not recommend him at all.
