We all know this class sucks but Erfle was a good guy. Material was really hard but just seek help from him and your TAs and you will make it out alive.

Ridiculously hard class. He does not actually teach anything but assumes you already learned everything somewhere else (God knows where!!!) he does all exercises at a regular pace like if he would be doing everything just for himself. Would never take his class again

Steve is a great professor. Pay attention at class, finish the reading and come prepare. Everything we learned at this class is awesomely practical and will be useful in the future.

I took this class as a student 15 years ago and it was by far the most useful course I ever took. Most of what one learns in college lacks practical utility in the real world, whereas being able to use Excel and applied math in a business setting is actually very useful for people in business.

Definitely the best professor I've ever met. Class is hard but you learn a ton. Tests are crazy but don't be panic. You can get good grades by practicing a lot.

The first two-three weeks in this class were miserable before I got to know Steve and got used to his method of teaching. He generally lectures off large documents or interactive graphs. He is extremely smart and literally wrote half the published material used in class. He is hilarious and a great person to get to know. He curves everything too!

Steve's great man but not exactly the best teacher. His course involves too much Math, which should not be required in an intro to micro class. Nevertheless, he curves all the grades so basically no one fails. (Some even get over 100 for a test they bombed)

Great Professor, gets a bad rap for having the toughest class in the INBM program. Should be understood that he does curve grades in his own way and you will definitely understand more, especially excel, from taking this class.

This prof gets a bad rap because he actually challenges students who are used to being spoon fed information. This class is hard (hardest class I took outside my physics major), that said, if you do the work, you'll learn a lot. Do yourself a favor and take calc first and this class will be much easier.

Hardest class at Dickinson (at least in the Business Mjr). However, with good TA's that essentially do all the work for you it's certainly doable. Besides, do a lot of problems in the exam book you are given and there should be no way that you don't at least get a C+...if you put in the time, it's not too terrible.

Before taking the class I was terrified from what I had heard. The material is confusing but manageable once the TA's explain everything during review sessions. Its more of a time commitment than anything else (literally 5 days a week). Steve thinks he's the smartest man alive but he's still cool. VERY rewarding once you've completed the class!!

Wonderfully difficult class--not for the weak at heart. Erfle makes it possible, but it won't be easy. Erfle's "slice of heaven" is served in Hell's kitchen.

Pathetically bad professor. He doesn't really teach the class, it's more like he is talking at the class at breakneck pace without any regard for student's understanding of the course material. When students ask him questions he laughs at them and gives unclear sardonic answers when he could easily provide a simple explanation. Avoid his classes

If you're too lazy to go to class, study, visit review sessions or do homework, this is not a course for you. If you are willing to be challenged and (god forbid) learn something, you'll do fine.

I got an A in his class without taking either Calculus or Stats. While difficult, as long as you work hard (go to every class and start studying for exams way ahead of time) you will be fine. Erfle gets a bad wrap because he often is difficult to understand (he moves quickly), but the truth is he puts a ton more work into his class than most profs.

Hardest class I have ever taken but by far the most worthwhile. Erfle is absurdly hard but I have yet to learn more from any teacher that I have ever had. For IBNM majors don't be as scared of managerial as you have heard. Just be prepared to work for everything.
