Medema is amazing, probably one of my favorite professors at UCD!! He's very knowledgeable on the material and has great lectures. The exams are mostly based off of material you go over in lecture so try not to miss class, but the book can help give you some extra background info and examples. Easy A if you study and ask questions!

He tests his exams solely on his lectures. Final isn't cumulative. He assigns homework from the book but don't study from it. Your lecture notes will be your best friend in this class. If you skip class, you will basically be losing a bunch of points on your exam. Don't use a computer for this class, since you will be drawing a TON of graphs.

Medema's lectures were interesting. Exams are based primarily on lectures; take good notes in class. I got a C on the first exam but As on the others because I started taking better notes and reading them before exams. The readings can be rough because they're old, but I found them interesting. It's nice to know where ideas came from.

Awesome teacher. Really funny and relatable. Makes class interesting. Very smart and knowledgeable. Easy class as long as you come to class. Doesn̢۪t ever test you on anything he doesn̢۪t go over in class. By far one of my favorite professors at UCD and will try to take more classes with him.

Hands down, my favorite professor of all time. He gives you a short, one minute writing assignment at the beginning of class, which is why you need to be present. His lectures are crystal clear, and he only tests you over what he lectures - another reason you need to be present. Oh, did I mention he's easy on the eyes and ridiculously intelligent?

The most gifted professor of mine to date. His ability to convey the information and interest students is unparalleled. You will need to work, nothing is free. The information learned will not diminish over time, as he is very thorough and clear. If you are a rational utility maximizer and are willing to learn, you will love his modules. :)

Without question, the best professor I've ever had. I am an economics major because of his ability to inspire and make learning enjoyable. He's witty, informed, and intelligent. Anyone interested in economics should take his courses, you will not be disappointed. Be prepared to work, and receive a fair grade. He's the best.

This guy made me want to be an ECON major, after dreading taking another ECON core. He makes ECON fun, sure he can come off as cocky at times but he's a Professor, he knows his stuff... IT HAPPENS. Very accessible, the papers weren't graded to hard at all so much as you could pass a basic comp class, and he was helpful. Great professor.

I LOVED this class. Unlike other comments, i think he is one of the best teachers I have had. Lectures are very interested (economics of prostitutes at democratic convention) and he makes the class come alive. he does have mandatory attendence but if you didn't want to go to class dont go to college

He has a sense of humor, but can drone on or come off as arrogant at times. The homework can be time-consuming and mandatory attendance is annoying. No exams - but four 1000-1200 word essays throughout the semester. Essays are NOT difficult unless you are a bad writer. Would take again.
