She's a pretty fair teacher. Yes you do have to read the textbook, otherwise you won't get the criteria right when doing exercises. Make sure you start on the final proposal early rather than wait to the last minute. Overall, a good professor.

Terry is one of my favorites. She is fairly entertaining and very understanding. Although blunt and professional she is respected and admired for her teaching ability, experience/knowledge, and caring personality. As an openly gay student I never felt she wasn't being objective and I would recommend her to anyone wary of being discriminated against

This was a terrible and useless class. You may learn something if you read the textbook (which is probably outdated) but in-class all you'll be doing is learning how to accomplish her assignments. She puts way more emphasis on specific requirements rather than teaching you how to actually write well. Her grades seem just made up.

Every science major enrolled at the U of CO Denver should have to take Terry's technical and/or grant writing classes. She's just tremendous, and if you do exactly what she tells you to do, you'll come out of her class a better writer, instantly making you more desirable to employers. Take her class even if you don't have to take it.

I liked the blend of in-class exercises and peer review sessions during classes. Terry is a knowledgeable person and provides useful feedback! Cons - Terry didn't use Canvas, which was inconvenient. I wish Terry had more detailed handouts. We often had to take many additional notes of the info that wasn't listed on the assignment handouts.

This class was in a workshop format. There were perhaps 4 days of lecture throughout the semester, the rest is group work (with a group you form in the beginning) which culminates in a Long Proposal. The first half of the class had like 8 papers that related to the textbook. The second half was focused on the group project.

Professor Zambon's business writing class was probably one of the best classes I've taken in college. The first useful english class and you learn tons. But beware the class is not easy. You have to work for it for sure. She's a tough grader but it helps you in the long run. For the group project, GET A GOOD GROUP!

I took Tech Writing with Terry and I'm currently in her Tech Editing class, which is extremely interesting. Terry's classes can be hard for those that does possess a natural talent, but if you ask for help she will sit down with you until you get it or search for resources outside of class for you. You can tell her anything and she'll help you out.

Have taken 3 of her courses; no regrets there. I sometimes wished she'd devote more class time to lecture, less to independent work. But happily helps students, in class & office hrs. Constructive, specific criticism. Knows her stuff from the World, not from academia. Most importantly--I've never had a prof as caring &invested in students' success.

I'm sorry, but this class only appeals to those that want an easy grade, or who like her personality. I learned nothing. Professor is vague, does not lecture, does not teach. Her class is a glorified study hall. I think she does a great disservice to her students. People pay lots of money to learn, and they could gain more in an hour online.

Terry is an awesome teacher. Her teaching style is clear, and concise. She will tell you exactly what is expected of you, she gives great feedback on your writing. During lecture she roves around ranting, joking, and occasionally cursing, it's hilarious.

Terry is the GREATEST. She kills it in her lectures. Have not had a professor that has made me laugh that much. Incredible teaching style. Truly cares about her students inside and out of the classroom. You're missing out if you dont take a class with her. Great at helping international students adjust to American learning as well.

Terry was unorganized and unclear. She often assigns in class busy work and rarely lectures. Everything you learn you can get from reading the book on your own time. She never returns graded assignments back on time and often forgets things. Do not take this class.

I took Technical Writing with Professor Zambon and she was by far the best teacher that I have had so far for English. She required you attend her classes; however, if you missed a class she was more than willing to assist you with the material that was missed. She was helpful, clear, and concise in her explanation of the material. Overall great!

Awesome teacher. I can't say enough about this teacher. As an older student with 10+ years of professional experience, I still learned an exceptional amount from her. She has real world experience and conveys how what she's teaching is actually used in business. Grading is tough but she takes the time to meet with students to ensure thier success.
