Others have posted about how to get an A. I found him and his TA to be unresponsive to my questions. The lectures were made in 2011 and many have poor sound quality. Some of the lecture notes have missing slides or slides have changed. It is your responsibility to get the lecture information from one of 3 sources. This is a disengaged professor.

Most of the grade is based off of tests. He was a very easy grader on the essay. Pretty much if you did it, you got a decent grade. The tests were hard but open book so if you read before and knew where to look for the answers, they were very manageable. I didn't find the class very interesting but it was not too difficult or time consuming.

A lot of people are saying the tests are hard and it's impossible to get an A, but if you do the reading and buy the book it should be a piece of cake. I have a 98% in his psych of learning class right now. He always emails me right back and answers any questions I have. 10/10 would recommend.

Cont. from last post: Meier does use some integrative questions (from txtbook & slides) however, I didn't take any notes from the bopk. HAVE THE BOOK BY YOUR SIDE DURING TESTS. If you don't study the book, some questions you will have to look up. But this shouldn't take too long as long as you have the word doc of slide notes. Hope this helps:)

I've seen a lot of comments about the tests in his classes being hard. HERE IS HOW YOU RECEIVE B'S AND BETTER: First of all, copy all of his notes from the slideshows into a word document (lots of typing, but worth it) make sure info 4 each test is in ONE document. During the test, have the document open and use crtl F to find pertinent info.

I have taken psych of learning from him and am currently taking Intro to Psychoactive Drugs from him. He only gives three tests and a written paper depending on the class. THE TESTS ARE VERY DIFFICULT. This makes his "optional extra credit" pretty much mandatory to get an A. I'd recommend making an outline for the tests to pass them easier.

I would take another online course from Dr. Meier. He was incredibly helpful with any questions I had. My brother unexpectedly passed away shortly before the course began and Dr. Meier was one of the most understanding professors I had during that time.

Dr. Meier wasn't interested in teaching his classes. I took two online classes from him (learning and physiological). They were impossible to do good in (i'm not the only one with issues) and he NEVER responded to emails. Do not take any online classes from him if you don't have to. You will not learn anything and your GPA will suffer.

His classes are drab. He has slides and reads right off of them. The class is boring. He does have a entertaining way about him though... a sort of flair. There is little homework and he gives EC to people that come to class. The homework is all group and all cut and paste work.

I tool several classes from Dr. Meier. I agree with others' assessments of his teaching strategy, but I liked him for the very reason others did't. he was very in-your-face honest. In a matter of 10 minutes, he managed to convince me i wasn't a lost cause. I went from a 2.1 GPA to a 3.8 and attribute the impetus to him. Thanks!

I took several classes from Steve, and he was my least-favorite professor. Not because of the difficulty of the work, but because on several occasions he was disrespectful and completely uncaring. He only seemed to care about the 4.0 students, especially

Nonexistant. Only interested in his research and more reasons to be pompous, he has a farm of online classes he could care less about. When I emailed about Psychopharmacology, he emailed back about Learning, which I was not enrolled in.

My first professor in college... instilled the fear of God with his anti-cheating speech. Tough but fair, good lecturer.
