Good professor, fully explained all criteria. This class is based on 4 exams, 2 sets of homework, 10 random in class participations. He has plenty of review sessions, can check your homework before turning it in, and wants his students to do well. He has a lot of corny jokes. Doesn't take attendance. I had to study a lot for good exam grade

Not a fan of him, the final group project is graded by a random group of faculty members. If you get two bad scores out of a line of 14 judges then you will get a bad grade. Grades paper's unfairly and he changes words in your essay more times than you can imagine. If I had a second chance I would have chosen a different class.

Wouldn't recommend his FYS. Had up to 4 projects going on at once in that class. Takes forever to grade essays. You don't get to see your overall grade. The zombie group project takes up so much time; you get HARSHLY scored on it by random staff members. Only plus side was that you sometimes get to watch movies, but they aren't always good ones.

If you are looking to take an easy first year seminar class the zombie class is not for you. So much group work that requires too much time and you are required to write a 10 page paper about a topic that interest you. Would not recommend taking this class, to much petty work you can find a better one. His grading style is not the best.

The material in this class was straight forward. Attendance wasnt mandatory but if you arent there you miss the drawings and figures that accompanied notes. He didnt use D2L which made seeing your grade hard. He gives good feedback on homework and review. Also chances almost daily for an extra credit point if youre willing to talk in class.

This class has the most writing when compared to the other First Year Seminars. However, you do watch movies. Professor is great!

I took his class and I was so happy I did. In this class we occasionally get to watch movies and when we do, he brings in his own salsa and chips! However, there are two major projects in this class and you kind of have to work on them at the same time (one is individual and the other is a group project - just a heads up)

He gives you guided notes and goes over them in great detail in class. Easy concepts to understand, just a lot of memorization, so if that isn't for you I wouldn't recommend. If you study its an easy A, or at least AB. He is super helpful and always available outside of class. There are two sets of homework and I recommend going to him to check it.

Professor Meyer was my favorite prof at UWGB! He really care about his students, but he makes you work for the grade you deserve. Go to class, take notes, and study your butt off for tests. I would take this class again if I had the opportunity, or any other class with this professor!

I took Meyer's Global Climate Change course. It was relatively difficult. The answers were short answer and essay for all tests, quizzes, and exams. There was one big project and an 8 page annotated bibliography. Quizzes nearly every day. Lots of material to learn. Not the easiest class, but I would highly recommend. DO NOT BUY TEXTBOOKS.

Simple, enjoyable class. Class is more about him explaining the notes so you understand them. If you go to class and understand, you will do well. The lab is much more difficult. More tests and actual work. DO NOT BUY TEXTBOOK. Very nice teacher. He loves athletes, understands if you will be gone. I would highly recommend the class as a gen ed.

Professor Meyer is awesome! Just a real nice guy. Very organized, gives you the notes, and then draws diagrams up on a overhead projector. It's an easy class if you go, take the notes, and do a little studying before the test! He's very organized, helpful, and sends about 500 emails throughout the semester...

Great professor. Called me out in class once because I didn't do well, but I don't think he actually meant to be rude. His lab is extremely difficult, tests are challenging. He emails you the notes and text books is not required. I would recommend this class if you are not taking physics or chemistry.

Had no interest in subject at all, but it was a super easy gen ed, & no textbook required! Provides all notes you take in class via email except for diagrams he draws on the overhead, as well as chapter question reviews and practice tests for each unit. Friendly, funny, you'll get at least a B if you just go to class and pay attention/take notes.
