So much to say but not enough characters. His class is confusing. We were not set up for success. Hardly ever opened the book in class. Does not respond to emails. Disorganized and unprepared. He does not let you know the material to be studied, its a guessing game. He rants a lot about off topic subjects, he is entertaining, but does not teach.

Awesome professor! All we did was talk about issues in today's society, and he was always eager to engage the class. Quizzes were easy, basically writing down what you talked about in class.

Steve Murray first impression can come off as being mean, but he is really not at all. If you actually get to know him you will see he is awesome. Piece of advice if you pay attention to the videos and the book you will pass with an A. One thing I can say is Professor Murray does not tolerate students crap.

Mr. Murray was simple the best! he keeps annoying students in their place and keeps a class room setting. no texting behind the books with him. he is very helpful and interesting, I like him a lot and have taken 3 classes. wish he did more.

Enjoyed this class. If you're in desperate need of notes from the teacher shy away from Murray. He can sometimes get off topic but you'll always keep interest in his lectures. He points out the slackers in class early on. Learned a lot of "real world" experiences rather than getting everything from the book which made it a very interesting course.

Mr. Murray is the man! I looked on here before taking a class with him & got super nervous because I am the definition of a slacker. I got A's on every exam but since I only showed up 1-2 times a week, (class met 3 times per week) he gave me a B. Very fair considering other teachers would either drop or fail me. Would highly recommend! :)

I had Mr. Murry for three classes last semester, He is an outstanding teacher and a good guy in general. if you are a slacking dope don't bother showing up, he has a habit of weeding out slackers early on. He is also a true realist and does not pamper up a law enforcement occupation.

I took two of his classes. Good Teacher! Follow his rules, do the reading, and required work you will do fine. Tests do require you to review your notes and the book. He does not put up with nonsense in the classroom. Provides a good learning environment and very knowledgeable. Would take his classes again.

Had three courses with Mr. Murray all are taught the same. If you do the reading on your own it can be a fun easy lecture as long as you follow the classroom rules. He does go off on tangents, and shows a lot of material irrelevant to the course but overall a good guy and a fun class.

Big mistake taking his class. Murray does not cover any of the material in the book. He goes on tangents about his life...I learned more about his girlfriend and family than I did law enforcement. Do yourself a favor and go with Parys instead

Murray is a good guy. He is funny in class and you can definitely have a good conversation with him, but he is not a great teacher. He gets off topic very easily and nothing he covers in class is in the book. (in everyone of his classes)

I think my fellow students had and have problems with Mr. Murray because he does not tollerate nonsense in his classroom. Which means no eating,drinking or talking in his class. Which I found to be delightful. It was nice to be able to focus on the lecture without interruptions. Once you get past that you will love him. He is a great teacher.

He's not your normal college professor. You can learn a great deal of real life information from him (seeing as show he used to be a prosecutor). You rarely drone through the textbook as he stresses discussing and debating law concepts in class rather than memorizing them. Highly recommended, and one of the best courses I've taken thus far.

I had Murray for three classes. If you show up for class, read the book, and for the love of god at least attempt the class presentation,(which is worth 30% of your final grade) you will do fine. He does not live in a fantasy world like a lot of college professors and will tell you exactly how it is, and how the system works.
